what is the difference between the network version and the standard version?

The network version has an Ethernet port on the back of it. Run a cat 5 cable from it to a network switch (mine is a netgear 8 port switch) and you can share it to all your computers without it being shared from a single computer. I have 6 computers on my network. Microsoft updates messes with shared printers from single computers too much. I keep having to fix them. The disc that comes with it installs fast and easy. You always have a printer no matter how many computers are turned on. Once in awhile it will disconnect. Just run the disc again.
