Good quality, budget or entry-level lapsteel.
This is a solid lapsteel. I would define it as the budget option, but it does everything it needs to, and has a good sound. The company responsible, Harmonia, is part of a big group of cheaper-end instrument manufacturers in Asia. They go by a myriad of names, but do quality work. I did end up replacing the fret board (which required some trial and error), but that was all personal preference. The stainless steel plate around the pickup is a nice touch, definitely better than plastic. Be aware that it arrives completely de-tuned, but it holds a tuning well after the strings have had time to adjust.I play guitar and bass very regularly, mostly for recreation. This was a good way to branch out, but if you play at all professionally, or have intentions to, I would recommend looking around for a step up.

Very good deal. The sound and play is good. I'm new to steel guitar but I'm having as much fun as I expected. Product arrived on schedule with no surprises. Very happy with this purchase.
