what's the different beetween simple airpods?

By simple AirPods I assume you mean the AirPods Pro Generation 1? Non Pro AirPods are non noise cancelling that do not have tips/don't seal in the ear (they do not go as far into the ear). AirPods Pro are noise cancelling and require properly sized tips that go further into the ear to create a seal in your ear (to use some of the AirPods Pro auto functions you have to have a good seal that passes the Ear Tip Fit test). What the AirPods Pro 2 have that the AirPods Pro 1 don't: Stem volume control - you slide your fingers on the stem to raise/lower volume. The the case has a FindMy speaker. When the AirPods are in the case the FindMy ping comes from the case. It also includes low battery ping. The case has a lanyard connector. Apple claims a big improvement in noise cancellation mode and transparency mode. It has the newest Apple H2 chip, It has Bluetooth 5,3. This gives the potential for increased bandwidth for higher quality music stream. Just know that only iPhone 14 has Bluetooth 5.3 too. Both sides must have the 5.3 It has about 25% better battery. But the big one that can't yet be qualified is the better is the newer driver. This and the H2 chip will have the biggest impact on the quality of the audio. It is all but certain the audio quality will be better but how much is to be determined.

Yes, you can use these AirPods Pro 2 as a hearing enhancement. It's not a real hearing aid, but it will allow you to input an audiogram that you get when your hearing is tested by a doctor or audio tech and it will adjust the AirPods based on the frequencies that are input. It allows you to photograph the audiogram itself, but I found that I had to further adjust the frequencies below the audiogram that the pods pick up. I was just about to fork out $1800 for Jabra Enhance Pro 10s hearing aids but then I found out about the AirPods ambient enhancement. I don't really like how hearing aids sit behind your ear with a small piece that goes into your ear canal, plus the sound for music or phones is really terrible. I wear sunglasses a lot and I was afraid that I would lose the hearing aids that way. So, the AirPods are terrific for $200 (on sale)--big saving. There are lots of adjustments via the phone if you are in a crowd or in a restaurant speaking to one person (or a small group) right in front of you. I really need to use these devices when I watch TV as I have trouble hearing all the voices during a movie. I watched one last night and the voices and sound in general were crisp and completely understandable. I wasn't using the Bluetooth function because I was watching with others (using Bluetooth is Wow Wow Wow for a movie). Eventually, I'll have to get real hearing aids but in the meantime, I'll use these Apple AirPods Pro 2 (hoping that Apple jumps into the OTC hearing aid business....come on Apple, for all your older devotees who have purchased your products since the 1980s!) I should add one more thing: buy the Apple Care. It seems totally reasonable in case of a problem.

Can i buy applecare+ with airpods pro (2nd) instead of asurion insurance?

When I checked out it came up and asked if I wanted to but AppleCare with the air pods pro gen 2. I said yes and it added it to the sale. (It was 19.00 dollars I think) I add Apple care to all my Apple products.totally worth it. My granddaughter just shut her iPad in the trunk, got a brand new on for 60.00 dollars at the Apple store.
