Schott Beginning Jazz Violin: An Introduction to Style and Technique

I have a small amount of knowledge about Jazz and the scales etc. This book is perfect. Well laid out and I am really enjoying learning even more about Jazz and the different types of Jazz and scales involved.

I have been using this book with my fiddle teacher and we are having a great time working our way through this book. Great way of playing variations of scales and learning how to begin to improvise. It is really helping me to play more confidently and is improving my tone and techniques. Also, it’s fun!

Jazz tutorial books always start at some advanced intermediate level. There is a large gap to be jumped from other method books to beginning jazz. This book is good enough for use by people playing other instruments.
