Ideal Standard Dual Flush Pmatic Outlet Valve, EV98167 (Replacement for SV93467), Multi-Colour, 1.5"

I have had to replace all 3 of the mechanisms in my toilets with different bits over the years, and these have solved the issues right out of the box. From replacing the diaphragm for the buttons to the main outlet sealing rings as they all leak and fail over time.The problem with the original part, original replacement parts and other white plastic copy replacements with black sealing rings is the rubber is hard and after about 6 months they begin to leak again. slowly passing and constantly draining the cistern.This Black plastic one has a soft white silicon sealing ring and sealed immediately. took a few attempts at pumping the the buttons to get it to plush on one press.Between the Original and other parts and copies, this is by far the best and most straight forward direct replacement that hasn't been over priced junk

On first installing the unit I had the problem of water constantly running into the toilet from the cistern. This wasn’t the original problem I’d bought the valve to fix.On speaking to Ideal Standard customer services the assistant advised me to make sure the value was primed by filling the blue hopper with water once it was clipped in place. This gives the main valve weight which ensures a good seal.Once done the running water stopped and the cistern filled properly and the new valve works perfectly.It’s a pity the installation notes that come with the new unit tell you everything to do to install, apart from priming the valve.

Easy removal and replacement

No idea why they change the product code but this replaced a flush valve installed about 14 years ago. Initial worries about the new product code proved unnecessary - good like for like fit.Note that in the past I have bought these and the basket/cradle that the valve fits into were provided too (a complete kit). It seems that now they just provide the valve to insert in the old cradle.

I have two ideal standard toilets in my flat and have constantly had issues with them. New seal did not fix the leaking into the bowl so I had to purchase a whole new unit AGAIN. This is probably the third one now. They stop working every year or so. I am so fed up of having to replace these awful plastic units that cost a fortune. Not impressed with Ideal Standard one bit..... not fit for purpose.

I needed to replace the dual flush in my toilet. It was so easy to take the old one out and replace it. No plumber needed. The item in question was top notch.
