took it out of the box exposed it to a 60w desk lamp for a minuteand it stayed bright for hours.Impressive .

I guess it is science. This tape runs on sun and it needs a lot of it to bright up.

Glows really bright for 1-2 minutes. Then a good long low glow. Enough that when it's dark and your eyes are adjusted to the light level, you can see whatever you apply it to (e.g. lightswitch cover plate, key tag). The picture is after putting it up to LED flood/can light in my home office for 20-30 seconds to help show just how bright it can be. One shows the brightness between the side that was towards the light source vs opposite side (lighter/darker). Photos are not retouched or pre-filter applied.

Getting similar tapes to adhere to my cord covers has been hit or miss, mostly miss. However, since I discovered Glow Lion Glow In The Dark tape I no longer have morons tripping over my 'speed bumps' -- well, I do but that's just because some people are always going to be oblivious to their surroundings. Plus, this tape has endured some pretty nasty weather. IT TAKES A LICKING AND KEEPS ON STICKING! This tape is a must to have on hand for any working DJ who wants to minimize his liability by making his stands, cord covers, or other equipment visible to those he/she comes in contact with.

Will glow dimly, but definitely did not work for me on my utility trailer fender to see it in the mirror at night. Depends what you want to use it for I suppose!

Bummer. I needed this for a small step in my garage that is a major hazard. When the garage is open (usually for many hours) the tape soaks up the sunlight. When the door closes it glows fairly bright. But, within an hour or so, it's really of no use.

Looks, feels, and works like chafing tape. I applied it on a paper plate, hanging on my bathroom door, to let me know if (dark brown), door is closed during the night, which I have bumped into, a few times. It's still glowing at 5-6 AM. It doesn't give off any light to interrupt my sleep. Perfect for my intent. I'm sure I can find other uses for it.

Tape smells a bit when new. Adhesive has a firm but not tenacious grip and it holds a glow for a decent amount of time(sunlight charges it better than artificial light so my indoor applications aren't preforming spectacularly). When you charge it up it glows bright enough to see 3ft with dark-adjusted eyes in a black room but over the course of 3 min it dims to more expected levels. I put some down to mark stair edges, flashlights and doorway corners in the dark. I wish i could do it justice with pictures, perhaps I will update.
