Great alternative to foam rolling. Much more effective on the back & shoulders than a lacrosse ball since they are firm enough to trigger a restorative muscle reaction and soft enough to allow the muscle to relax. Finding the body responds better to these than a firm Lacrosse ball where muscles tend to hold on a bit more. They are just the right amount of firmness/softness balance.As far as a dog toy, my dog can easily destroy these as they are too soft for him. Mine both now have teeth marks in them, but they are still intact.

This is just like the ones from back in the day. Bounces perfectly. I can lay on it for more pressure than a tennis ball for my shoulder too.

What the therapist used and suggested I use at home to continue improvement. At less than half the price of "therapy ball".

Instead of a smooth seam where the 2 sides of the ball meet, the seam is raised and the sides don't align properly.The ball is heavy and doesn't bounce very well. It's not suitable for handball or stick-ball.We gave it to the dog. It only took 5 minutes for him to chew little bits of rubber out of it. And last but not least - it has an unpleasant smell.Don't waste your money. Pay a little more and get a Spalding.
