Sarco Window Glazing Set - Small (Type M), Off-White

Decided to redo my old windows - the original glazing was over 30 years old and not installed very neatly to begin with. After watching a ton of videos on how to apply - I got to work on the first window. The product out of the can was a bit oily. I contacted Sarco directly and they gave me some ways to pull some of that oil out of the product (having is sit on cardboard). I got a complete set with the putty knife and the 'magic dust'. Once I got the hang of it - it was really fun. The 'magic dust' is amazing - took off all of the residue left on the window. My glazing took a bit longer to dry out once on the window - but, it was humid around the house. I finished and painted the windows and they look so much better!! Highly recommend this kit!

This glaze has been the best to putty. It’s smooth doesn’t pull back out as you cut it.The powder is a must. It smoothes out the crumbs and absorbs the oil from the putty. The powder cleans oily fingerprints. I bought this product halfway into my job which you can see has several pains. I wish I had bought it earlier.

Here are three essential things to have if you are repairing glass in wooden or metal sashes. The putty knife is designed for one thing-smoothing putty - and it does it better than the multi-purpose window tool I have used for so long. The advantage of using whiting to get the oil residue off the glass was also a pleasant discovery.I really bought this to try the Sarco glazing putty after watching a number of how-to videos to see what they suggest. The Sarco was the highest rated of the putties although it was a different version from the one sold here. I bought it because the Sarco putty was supposed to be paintable in 12 hours. Sarco provides very few directions on this product, and states only that the putty should be painted after it develops a skin - no timeframe is stated. I presumed it would develop the skin within 12 hours, but it did not. Since I was in a hurry to get the sashes completed and re-installed, I moved forward anyway. Big mistake. If you want to use this particular putty, be prepared to WAIT until the skin forms, regardless of time. No special curing magic here, unfortunately.

listened to the pros, tried it and with little training was finally able to glaze pretty quickly. Powder included, gets everywhere but glazers aren't everywhere.

This product is amazing. I whish I had known about it when I started my window re-glazing project. The stuff from Home Depot or Lows is miserable to work with and makes such a mess. This Sarco product is what the pros use, and it is evident. While re-glazing is a nasty project, this glazing set made it much, much easier. I would highly recommend this product.

If you are a pro or handyman this is the product for you. Very good consistency and hardened up after installation very quickly. When i need glazing this is the go to product.

Product has great flexibility dry time takes five or six days, but peers to be worth it!
