Good recipes - not too complicated or’cheffy’
Toms books are good but his recipes can be a bit of effort! . This book has a good selection of simpler and more everyday recipes but still full of flavour .One of his best

Makes You Want to Cook
This book is actually quite inspiring. It claims to have real life recipes and for the most part it does. Its split into Lunch, Tea, Something a Bit Fancier and Treats sections which split up the recipes neatly. Also a lot of the recipes have signpostingQuick - On the table in around 30 minutesLow Shop - Uses mostly basic or store cupboard ingredientsMake Ahead - Suitable for freezing or keeping in the fridge to serve laterCooks Itself - Once the preps done you can leave it.Now, a Michellin starred chef's store cupboard isn't the bog standard one and sometimes it falls foul of this. However, this mostly works. There is also a list of kit, substitutions and cheats to help you.It goes from the basic (Ham & Cheese Omelette) to something more demanding like Slow Roasted Garlic and Herb Lamb Shanks. I don't think you'll want to try everything, but the instructions are straightforward, the recipes are great and the picture make it appealing In short it makes you want to cook. So for families that are time poor this is ideal with a few traybakes etc. Its the second Tom Kerridge book I have (I've got Best Ever Dishes as well) but this is the one I'll be using the most.
