Puzzle/ Art project. A think and inspiration piece.
Bought these for our 10yo daughter. They were the right amount of difficulty and still be fun for her to assemble, with no frustration. She enjoyed building them then finishing them off with some paint, which really made them look great. Puzzles are of good quality and hold up well after being built. Not bad value for time it takes to assemble.

Fun to build
Great for spending time with friends and family. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. Some pieces may be a little hard to get out and fragile, but using an X-acto blade helps. Can be disassembled for others to try or can be glued together and kept as models. They don't take up much space and are pretty cool to keep around the house or office place.

Great End Product, Tough Build
The completed car is filled with little details everywhere you look! Plenty of props are easily removable from the set and can be put back on the vehicle, and the wheels move WITH tire suspension. That was definitely a surprise! I wouldn't recommend this set for beginner builders at all as the instructions are very difficult to follow with no words to explain complicated parts of the blueprints. As an advanced builder and visual learner, I was able to make do with the problematic diagrams... this took 2 days to put together. Pros: - The tires have suspension; the entire car can literally be played with on bumpy terrain! You are given springs to add to the construction of the suspension system and they work like magic. If you glue your connection points so the car won't fall apart, this is actually a relatively sturdy play toy. - I used barely any glue; the entire car can stay together just fine. - Steering wheel turns, parking break lever moves, gear selection wiggles! - Props like the hunting knife, shovel, gun, seat cargo, and convertible skeleton are all easily removeable. The axe is stuck in place but could also be removed if you skip the steps to secure it. - You could easily paint these pieces as you go to fully customize the look of your car. Cons: - Quite a few parts are fragile and while you do get a decent amount of spares, WHICH spares you have are unknown to you (as the entire manual is just pictures and nowhere does it say what's a duplicate). - The diagrams to put the pieces together are inaccurate. Sometimes parts are missing from the diagram that are supposed to be there. Sometimes the red arrow indicating where the piece should go is drawn on top of another piece that you are attaching, instead of going under the piece, misleading you on where the piece goes. Sometimes the "design" side of a part is shown as the "bare" side and vice versa- again, the diagrams show you conflicting information on which way a part should be put on. I had to switch the headlights part 3-4 times throughout the build (luckily it's very easy to take off and reattach) because the diagram shows the "design" side in EVERY diagram, even when the car is flipped or rotated. Eventually I understood which way it should be facing once the skeleton looked more like a "car". - A lot of pieces are tight fits. You may have to disassemble and reassemble. In my case I didn't glue most of the parts once they were fitted together. This allowed me to disassemble when needed but the caveat is that some pieces didn't stay together. This causes misaligned fits later on. I had to cut 2 of my pieces down to make them fit.

Bug models
These are really just so cool looking and I enjoyed them but they are very delicate and easy to break so be careful. If you twist the part that gets stuck sometimes it helps loosen the part out on the hard to get out ones.

Great!
Awesome family project for me and my kids (13 through 7). No one was bored because it was too simple and no one was left out because it was too hard. The pieces came out easy enough and fit together snug. They look good too!

There are better options
Let me start out by saying that these kits are adorable and you can put them together, HOWEVER, compared to another set I got these were a nightmare to put together. There is no way on this earth that a kid could manage this on their own, least of all because you'd need glue. The first issue, the instructions are just a number system as the rest of the instructions are in Japanese? I know it's clearly marked that way, but normally there are English instructions with kits like these...Not in this one. The number system isn't as organized as it could be, but after a bit of work you can suss out how things go. That isn't the biggest issue, however, it's the fact that not all the pieces are cut all the way through the wood leaving you to jimmy rig your way through the rest of the wood in order to free that piece. I legit had to saw into the wood to free a few pieces that wouldn't pop free on their own and I did crack a few simply because they wouldn't come free. Naturally, because the pieces weren't so easy to pop free I was left with a bit of a mess and puzzle pieces that didn't look nearly as smooth or 'finished' as the others with splinters here or there. So on a whole, I wouldn't recommend this set from an assembly standpoint, however, if you're okay with working hard on setting these suckers up they're pretty darn cute.

Wooden robots
These take some work putting them together. You may need a small flat head screw driver to help pop the the parts out. But they look pretty net when finished.

Nice build
New hobby, as you build these kits before you complete a step, check the next step to see if assemble is correct. Sand all corners ,makes build a lot easier, simple build just be careful bending, frame and body, gluing my be required,
