God, Is that You, Me, or the Devil: How to Confidently Know God's Voice

I listened to Kevin Winters and the Praying Medic via YouTube and decided to buy Mr. Winters book as recently I've been trying to hear from God as well as see in the Spirit to learn how to pray for people that I may not be able to drive to or a person that I know is not able to take a phone call or have visitors due to the closeness of death and protective state the family often will surround their love one with.So being sensitive to that I want to learn how to pray on their behalf for healing. And all that to say this is what lead me to this excellent book. I call it a reference because it is so detailed that I cannot read the whole thing in a couple days like most books. This is one you read and digest and meditate on with scriptures and then practice what you read. I say it is close to having someone disciple you. Of course having someone disciple you in person would be the preferred method, but in this day it is hard to find that. So God gives us people like Kevin Winters to write books for us to help."God is That You, Me or the Devil" again is an excellent reference book to have with bible verses if you are interested in practicing many spiritual blessings that we as believers in Jesus have access.Mr. Winters speaks about many topics but one in particular that inspired me was when he talks about hearing the voice of God. When you have little experience on this subject it is helpful to get some advice and biblical support on the topic. This is what the author does throughout the book on many topics.For example, if you are trying to learn how to seek God, be still, ask God for dreams and visions and things of that sort, the author provides practical advice. Here is an small excerpt to demonstrate what I'm trying to explain:"You should follow the examples of these great men. When you go to bed look to have a dream or vision. If you do not get a dream or vision get up early and when you pray close your eyes and look for a vision. If you do not get one go throughout your day with your mind stayed on Him and look for a vision or listen for an answer in the thoughts of your heart. If that does not happen get a topical Bible and research the subject. But whatever you do do not stop looking for an answer. This is what "looking" looks like for those of us who hear for God. We have learned to look and see."Another golden nugget to encourage the reader to continue asking God for wisdom in humility:"..I know that I do not know, so I ask God for the answer and He tells me. And since He is no respecter of persons He will do the same for you."Concerning the importance of the Word of God in your life:"The Bible is your first line of defense in discerning the voice of God. It is His revealed will and should be respected as such."My final thoughts on this book are hard to put in a summary. But since I must do just that I will say that if you are attempting to grow closer to God and need help with that this book can help jump start you with ideas, truths, and examples of how one goes about hearing God, discerning the voice of God, seeking God and so much more. This book is a blessing and I recommend it. [...]

God is that You, Me or the Devil has been full of personal revelations for me in my walk with God - if you are struggling (or not) to discern God’s voice, then I strongly encourage you to get this book. Kevin uses scripture throughout the entire book and every point he makes is backed up by scripture- he not only uses scripture but he encourages the reader to look and seek for him or herself the truth of God’s word. I absolutely love this book and continue to use it as a reference.Thank you, Kevin!

This book helps you to know more about how God will speak to us. It constantly reminds you to consider the character of God and it’s very detailed. Kevin really has broken everything down greatly and I am ordering more books because the gift he has for explaining things is amazing. Sometimes a lightbulb pops in my head!

The content of this book is very interesting and most helpful. It is written in a very down-to-earth way and is very easy to understand. It has been a great help in learning how to hear and to recognize the Lord's voice, as well as aiding in building a relationship with Him.My one major disappointment is in the quality of the editing of this Kindle book. More than once I considered stopping reading it, but pursued it only because of its worthwhile content. I truly wish that this could be rectified, so as not to discourage others.Good book, however...

Wonderful book. It takes you through many different steps and progressions of learning to discern the voice of God. You can tell the author is speaking from experience and not just theorizing. Bible based and straight to the point. The are quite a few spelling/grammatical errors. But, in this case, that just tells me the author isn't trying to retire from all the book revenue. He's just trying to share what The Lord has taught him using his own money to produce the book. Love this book.

Kevin Winters is an awesome writer, you can tell he is dedicated to knowing and proving the vadilty of scripture, he teaches us how to truly know God is speaking to us, and proves to you through scripture when it was the you the Lord or the devil! I appreciate his hard work and clearing up questions I know we all have. This book is truly a blessing! I recommend you add it to your growth with the Lord, you will need it!

Excellent, thorough read with the best explanations and examples about communicating with God I have ever experienced. Down-to-earth, biblical, balanced and accessible. I look forward to growing in my relationship with the Lord because I know I can and because the Lord wants it more than I can even fathom.

'As I am on a journey of learning how to correctly hear and discern the voice of the Lord in my life, I came across this book that I am currently reading . There are no words to describe what it has done for me so far and I am only partially through it. It is like a library in itself as it covers pretty much any question that you may encounter in your journey of discerning His voice. My sheep hear my voice is present tense and the author of this book makes it so clear how to rightly discern His voice from the others. And not only how to discern it but also making it quite clear that we already hear it on a daily basis... There are so many nuggets in this book that I will have to chew on for years to come. It is definitely a book that I will keep for a long time as a resource book. It has set me on a journey that will change my life forever. I am in awe of what God has spoken through Kevin in the writing of this book. .. For me, this has been my manna in the wilderness season as I am learning to hear His voice and get direction for my life. No words to describe the impact that it is having on my life, so much so, that I have highly recommended it to many of my friends. Out of desperation to hear His voice, God placed this book in my hands and I am forever thankful....Thank you Kevin for being obedient to the lord in sitting down and putting what God placed on your heart in book form for us to read and to profit from. This writer is very down to earth. Really a detailed book on this subject. His other book goes really nice together.
