I Wish it was All in One
This is a very high tech and versatile document SCANNER -it goes not print, and this -in my opinion is the biggest down side. For being just a scanner it is fairly large (resembles a fax machine) yet you'll still need desktop real estate for a printer and your pc, etc.So to me it's a matter of how much you do multi document scanning on a regular basis. For someone who runs a business where you're uploading a lot of documents and digitalizing information this would be perfect! It allows for a multitude of sizes of documents from passports and documents to ID’s and everything in between. You get 9 buttons to customize and program to whatever commands or settings you utilize often. One of the coolest, and more unique features this scanner has that I've never had in a scanner prior- is that it can scan double sided documents in one go - so you don't have to flip everything over and you cut the time it takes to scan things in half! You can trust it to not get jammed up or ruin important document like carbon copies, thin documents, and passports as it has the ability to adjust for both thicker and thinner files when using the proper settings.Your pdfs or scanned files are available and ready to view or send instantly.Overall , the biggest con is the price and that you will still likely end up needing a printer, but this is a top tier scanner for businesses.

Incredible Scanner
We got this because my husband works from home and we needed a scanner for work use and personal use. My husband thinks this scanner is "incredible"...the only negative thing I have to say is I think it is a little pricey. Basically ready to plug in and use, only had to snap on one piece. Comes with all cables that you need and the scanning software is really good and easy to use. Just plug in and start scanning.

First Scan: I started with 2 sheets containing text and photos. The display reads Mode 1. This is the PDF utility to scan documents. I loaded letter size paper by expanding the page guides to the letter size indicator on the top right. I confirmed ADF was selected and pressed SCAN button. The device fed both sheets one at a time. In a couple of seconds, it was finished with the sheets now in the bottom tray. On the computer, a pop up appeared as a confirmation of the successful scan, you can stop these pop ups with a check box option in the dialog box. The scanned file will open by default. If the scanned file preview does not open automatically. On your desktop look for a ScanDoc folder or check in your Public Documents Folder. The scanner features 9 modes of operation. The drop down at the top right selects modes or you can use the icons on the left visually describing each feature. In my video, I used Mode 1 for all my Documents, photos and business cards with excellent results. I found the 12-page document with text and photos B&W about 5700kb (5.7 MB) average file size. A full color sheet both sides about 8000kb (8MB) file size.Save Setup: Here is where you can change where scanned files are saved. The scanner also performed perfectly with this program.CONS:The operating documentation is limited to 1-fold out sheet. It is inadequate as the Main Settings dialog box is not addressed at all; it is where a large assortment of features can be accessed and configured. If you need help on the configuration settings there is a built in HELP menu. The device is supplied with a Calibration sheet. No instructions on its use.The front mounted LED Display with UP/Down arrows is unlabeled. It should read MODE Selector.I confirmed with Ambir’s USA support line that model 1060 is designed for windows PC use only. Microsoft Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 devices.
