Great Story
Theodosia just can’t stay out of trouble or avoid dead bodies! Laura Child’s spins a fascinating tale and keeps you guessing at each chapter.

VG But With Unanswered Questions
When I started this book, I wondered if Laura Childs even wrote it. The vernacular didn’t sound like past books in the series. The story was entertaining and developed well, but ended much too quickly leaving several unanswered questions. SPOILER ALERT: I figured out the killer pretty early on and was correct, but there were so many questions at the end. If he was such a health nut, how did he have access to such a lethal drug and syringes? Why did he lie about his girlfriend’s gambling addiction? Did he steal to get her out of debt, or only for his own personal gain? What happened to the diamond rings? And there was no end reaction from the girlfriend upon his arrest. I was disappointed that it ended so abruptly and left so many loose ends remaining.

Disappointed
I usually like this series. I've read all of them. However, I can only give this book 3 stars. It felt as though it wasn't finished. What happened to Pauline? What was going on with the nephew and the housekeeper? What was going on with the art theft ? Hope the author isn't tired of the series because I do like the characters.

good book
I have all of the tea shop mystery books, my sister started me on this series years ago, and i was happy to see that 2 came out this year instead of the normal 1 book a year in March, as always this is a excellent book and makes you feel like you are right there with Dayton, Theodosia and Haley, i wont say what happens in this book in case you have not read it, if you are a fan of the series you will not be disappointed

Costumes and Customs
I enjoyed the preparations and the historical backgrounds for the various occasions. The detective work came in second. Will read more of her stories.

Laura Childs Does It Again! Great book.
Another great Laura Childs mystery read. She does not disappoint. I wish her new books came out sooner as I am eagerly awaiting "A Dark And Stormy Tea" which will not be available until August.

Nice enough
The story is an easy read but I could give it more than three stars. How many times will Theodosia hog through back streets and alley says ,in the dark and be followed. It's getting a little repetitive. Also where does the author come up with the weird name like Delaine, Coy ,Drayton and Majel, to name but a few. I find names like these detract from the story.

For me at bedtime, when I need to relax and take it easy, I read a mystery cozy and this one is one of the best that I have read.

Good read
As usual Childs keeps the reader wanting more. Good surprise ending - dogs included! But I had to jump to the end.
