TIGERSECU Full HD 1080P 16-Channel DVR CCTV Video Security Recording System (Cameras Hard Drive Not Included)

This is a tentative review as I have just started using the system today. I purchased this to replace a DVR system purchased a year ago from another manufacturer on amazon that stopped working.It was VERY simple to set up, by that I mean no broken English that needed to be deciphered. I installed the old hard drive out of my previous system (500gb), and it worked fine. The app they recommend (chere) installed easily as well. All I had to do was input my IP address, I should also note that the ports required to use the application (9000 and 80) were already forwarded in my router.Motion capture works much better than my previous system. The moment someone, or something, enters the screen it begins to record. I'm still learning how the playback works but it does show what was recorded.All in all, it's a solid system that easily integrated into my existing setup. The box seems a bit big, about the size of a Cable TV box, but compared to my previous system I can live with it.

This is the second Tigersecu security system we bought from Amazon. We purchased a larger 1080p system from the same brand earlier this year and it has worked great, so we came back for another one for our second home. Great quality DVR for the price and works well with our existing security cameras. Excellent order follow-up and customer service from the manufacturer.

Most of these companies never tell you about which phone app you are going to get with your dvr until you've purchased it. Then you install it and download the CHere app only to find out that it doesn't zoom or even have a landscape mode so all the video images from the cameras are squished and look very unnatural. And the video quality is horrendous! Very disappointed. And worse are the "know it all's" online who I specifically asked if the phone app had a zoom feature and they all said it did - WRONG! Also couldn't get app running on my PC. But it does work with my SWANN cameras (another nightmare - Swann app works only 10% of the time and no zoom, only works at home but not when I'm away from home when I need them the most - nightmare system!) By the way, the Q-See DVR will not work with Swann cameras in color only in black & white therefore they are incompatible and of course everybody online that I asked before I purchased the unit swore on their mom that they would work. What a joke!

I was highly satisfied with the product, and also the service. I would recommend a password that you will not forget, because there is no easy "reset password". After trying to trouble shoot this myself, I contacted the company, and they were awesome at solving the problem. This is a great camera system for the price, and I will recommend this to anyone.
