Awesome fryer; just the right size!
We've been wanting to make the Japanese fried chicken (karaage) and was quite surprised at the quality. The bottom of the pot has a nice dense thick material and even the lid has a good weight to it. The temperature probe throughout cooking worked well and is a must, in my opinion, as the temperature obviously dips when frying and in between. Size wise, I was trying to figure out the best size that's not so big that I would need more oil to fill it but this turned out perfectly. We did about 3 lbs of chicken thighs and used the whole 40 oz of regular canola oil container. It's enough to deep fry but not filled up no more than 1/2 of the pot. On the stove, the bottom covers about 80% of the surface. I think this is the perfect size for a family of 4-6 though we ended up making a larger batch to take for lunch. We'll be making tempura and other fried items in the future and very happy with the overall quality and the price!

Nice basic fryer that performs well.
I used to have a large electric fryer but it was a pain to keep clean and required a lot of oil due to its size. Although we don't eat fried foods that often, sometimes we just wanted a nice fried meal. I didn't want anything too large that required a lot of area for storage. I saw this and was impressed with the comments. I ordered the smaller of the two and it is a perfect size for two of us but definitely has enough room for 4 people. It is recommended to fill half full with oil for cooking so that was about a 48 oz bottle. I have both vegetable oil and bought peanut oil as well, both have a high heat tolerance before breaking down. I was able to fit 4 large breaded drumsticks and 4 boneless/skinless thighs at one time and they cooked beautifully for 20 minutes, turning halfway through the process. The thermometer is in Celsius so you would need to know the conversion to Fahrenheit, but is easily marked with a range to keep the temperature in (my conversion for 350° F is about 170° C which is within the marked range on the thermometer. After the cooking was done, I removed the fryer from the heat (I have a ceramic top stovetop which worked beautifully with this fryer) and let it cool. Once cooled, I drained the oil into a storage pot that has a strainer and lid to keep and reuse (also bought through Amazon.com for this specific task). I then hand cleaned the thermometer and put the fryer and lid in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning. Once dried, it is easily stored in a cabinet until ready to use again. Just what I wanted. Very well made and the handles didn't get hot to the touch. I was pleased that there was very little oil splatter, if any, around the fryer since the rounded edges kept the oil contained. Highly recommend.

Great size for 2 people
Pros: nice little fryer perfect for 2 people. Drying rack very convenient and keeps food warm while you cook second batch. The thermometer makes temperature control a snap. Cons: thermometer is piece of crap. I briefly rinsed under tap water and water got inside. Instructions said do not submerge but this is ridiculous. I plan on buying a thermometer to replace. Also, it’s very difficult to remove cover without dropping it the oil. All and all I do recommend.

The Clucking Amazing Kerilyn Deep Fryer Pot
Once upon a time, in the bustling kingdom of the kitchen, a magical device called the Kerilyn Deep Fryer Pot made its way into my life. With its 11-inch diameter and 4.2-liter capacity, this pot seemed like a treasure chest, ready to unlock a world of culinary possibilities. From the moment I opened the package, I knew this fryer pot was something special. Its sleek and shiny exterior, crafted from 304 stainless steel, looked as if it was plucked right out of a professional chef's kitchen. I couldn't wait to test its powers and unleash my inner culinary maestro. Equipped with temperature control, this pot turned out to be a kitchen wizard. It knew exactly how to heat the oil to perfection, ensuring my beloved dishes were cooked just right. No more burning my fries or leaving my chicken uncooked! The temperature control allowed me to achieve that elusive crispy perfection, turning every bite into a moment of pure ecstasy. One feature that truly set this fryer pot apart was the inclusion of an oil drip drainer rack. Picture this: you're frying up a storm, and instead of the food bathing in an ocean of oil, the rack elevates them, allowing excess oil to gracefully drip away. This not only made my dishes healthier but also kept them from becoming soggy. The result? Crispy, golden goodness that had me dancing in the kitchen. Now, let's talk about the comedy element of this magical pot. As fate would have it, I had a habit of getting caught up in kitchen mishaps. But with the Kerilyn Deep Fryer Pot, those moments became comedy gold. The size and shape were so generous that it prompted my clumsy self to do a little kitchen jig. Picture me trying to maneuver this mighty pot with exaggerated movements, stirring up laughter with each twist and turn. It added a sprinkle of joy to my cooking adventures. My first creation with the Kerilyn Deep Fryer Pot was a batch of French fries. I cut the potatoes into thin slices, soaked them in water to remove excess starch, and let them dry on a paper towel. Then, I set the temperature control to 375°F, added the oil, and let it heat up. Once the oil was hot enough, I carefully lowered the potato slices into the pot using a strainer. The oil sizzled, and I knew I was off to a good start. After a few minutes, the fries turned golden brown, and I lifted them out using the strainer. I placed them on the oil drip drainer rack, and let the excess oil drain away. The result? Perfectly crispy fries that had a satisfying crunch with each bite. I sprinkled them with salt and served them with ketchup. My family loved them, and we finished the entire batch in one sitting. Inspired by my success with French fries, I decided to try something more challenging - chicken tempura. I marinated the chicken in a mix of soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and sake for an hour. Then, I coated the chicken in tempura batter made from flour, cornstarch, and ice-cold water. Once again, I set the temperature control to 375°F, added the oil, and let it heat up. Using the strainer, I carefully lowered the chicken pieces into the pot. The oil sizzled, and the chicken turned a beautiful golden brown. The result? Juicy, tender chicken that was perfectly coated in tempura batter. I placed the chicken pieces on the oil drip drainer rack, and let the excess oil drain away. I served the chicken with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce, rice vinegar, and grated ginger. My family loved it, and they were amazed by how professional it tasted. Since getting the Kerilyn Deep Fryer Pot, my kitchen has become a hub of excitement and culinary experimentation. I've gone beyond the classic French fries and chicken tempura, exploring a world of delicious possibilities. One day, I decided to tackle the art of tempura vegetables. I prepared a medley of zucchini, sweet potato, and broccoli florets. After coating them in the tempura batter, I gently lowered them into the sizzling oil of the fryer pot. The vibrant colors of the vegetables and the sizzle of the oil created a mesmerizing sight. Within minutes, the vegetables turned into golden masterpieces, maintaining their crispness while retaining their natural flavors. It was like a symphony of tastes and textures on my plate. Feeling adventurous, I decided to try something sweet - homemade donuts. I prepared a simple dough infused with vanilla extract, shaped them into perfect rings, and dropped them into the pot. As they fried, the aroma of freshly baked goodness filled the kitchen. The donuts emerged from the oil with a beautiful golden hue, and I coated them in powdered sugar while they were still warm. The first bite revealed a fluffy interior and a heavenly taste that rivaled any donut shop. My family declared it a triumph and begged for more. What makes the Kerilyn Deep Fryer Pot even more incredible is its easy cleanup. The stainless steel construction not only ensures durability but also allows for effortless cleaning. The oil drip drainer rack can be removed, washed, and dried separately, while the pot itself can be easily wiped clean with a sponge. No more scrubbing and soaking for hours. With the Kerilyn fryer pot, I spend less time on cleanup and more time savoring the fruits of my frying adventures. In conclusion, the Kerilyn Deep Fryer Pot is an absolute game-changer. With its Japanese-style design, temperature control, oil drip drainer rack, and a dose of humor, it has revolutionized my kitchen experience. It has transformed me from a mere cook into a culinary magician, delighting family and friends with delectable dishes and unforgettable kitchen performances. If you're looking to add a touch of hilarity and unleash your culinary prowess, the Kerilyn Deep Fryer Pot is the enchanting tool you've been waiting for. Get ready to fry up a storm, my friends!

Works great!
I love this little pot. It's perfect size for french fries for two. It's really easy to clean also.

Terrible quality and the thermometer isn't even hinged on but tends to move around when frying. Unlike the one I bought earlier from a Japanese manufacturer. It's not worth the money nor effort.

This works a treat for any small deep frying tasks. Tempura battered fish for example. It isn't big, so probably not family sized, but for a couple it is perfectly sized. Minimizes your oil usage too. The draining rack thing is both clever and very functional. A good tool!

Me gusto que calienta más uniforme, quedó mucho mejor. Y al terminar de freír lo podía colocar en la canastilla superior lo cual dreno el exceso de aceite y no tuve que colocar un papel para absorber el exceso de aceite. Quedó crujiente.
