Great series loved by six and seven year-old
See my other dog man reviews. Engaging, great introduction to read alone‘chapter books. Both girl and boy. Seven year-old wizzed through, moderate for six-year-old, but he gets through quickly because it is so exciting.

4/5 Stars: Another Entertaining Adventure with Dog Man!
Dog Man: Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea is the eleventh installment in the popular series by Dav Pilkey, and it did not disappoint! As a parent, I’ve enjoyed reading these books with my 8-year-old, and this one was another fun adventure.Pros:1. Engaging Storyline: This book takes readers on an underwater adventure filled with humor and excitement. Dog Man and his friends face off against an army of fleas, and the plot is imaginative and entertaining, keeping my child engaged from start to finish.2. Vibrant Illustrations: The artwork is colorful and dynamic, perfectly complementing the storyline. Pilkey’s distinctive style captures the attention of young readers, making it easy for them to follow along with the action.3. Relatable Themes: The story explores themes of friendship, teamwork, and bravery. It also subtly incorporates lessons about problem-solving and thinking creatively, which I appreciate as a parent.4. Humor: The humor is spot on for kids, with silly jokes and funny character interactions. My child often bursts out laughing at the antics of Dog Man and his friends, making reading time enjoyable.Cons:1. Repetitive Elements: While the humor is enjoyable, I noticed some elements felt a bit repetitive compared to earlier books in the series. Some jokes and scenarios are similar to past stories, which might not be as fresh for older readers.2. Character Development: While the main characters are beloved, I felt that some secondary characters didn’t get enough development. It would be nice to see more depth in the supporting cast in future installments.Overall, Dog Man: Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea is a delightful addition to the series. It’s filled with humor, adventure, and engaging illustrations that keep kids entertained. Despite some minor issues with repetition, it’s a book that my child thoroughly enjoyed, and I highly recommend it to other parents looking for fun and accessible graphic novels for their kids!
