Douglas Winky Octopus Plush Stuffed Animal

I bought this as a Valentine's treat for my oldest son, who is into ocean creatures. For not being too expensive, this little fellow is truly very nicely crafted: beautiful and textured fabrics, nice even shape and feel/squeeze (not to flimsy or floppy, not to firm or rigid, no crooked parts), no workmanship issues or errors. I've seen some reviews showing surprise at size or color, so I dried to depict it as accurately as I could in photos. I'd call it a slightly slate-y navy blue overall, with a silvery-grey underbody. It's darker than in the picture Amazon displays, but still definetly blue. They secribe "inky blue," and Iys say that's about right. Both fabrics have some fun texture to add a bit of pattern, a nice touch. He doesn't have tentacles per se, but the fabric texture indicates something of the like. The "head bulge" (not an anatomically proper term, I'm sure, but you know what I mean), is a little bit weighted with an inner section of some sort of fill beads, while the whole of it is plush. I pulled out a yardstick, and when I sat him upon without manually unfurling his arms, he is 12.5-13" from end to end. Someone decribed him as not much bigger than a Beanie Baby. I'd say his head may not be much larger than one, but taking his arms into consideration (a good half of his overall size), he's notably bigger than that, though certianly not a "big" stuffed animal by any means (not bitty either). I took a picture of him with a credit card-sized card to give some visual size reference, and another to show details a bit closer. He has nice eyes that give him an engaging expression. He's quite velvety-soft. I think he's great, and I'm sure my son will agree. If you expect him to look exactly like the website's photo, no the color is a bit different (but still nice!), but the rest of it looks pretty on point. He's durable, and a nice size and shape for both younger kids who may wish to drag him around everywhere they go without being encumbered (as my younger two do with their stuffed animals), and the older crowd who just wants a handsome little pal to sit nicely on display on a bed or other space. My older son has an ocean-themed bedroom in blues, and this little guy will be a lovable and fitting touch.

This octopus was a gift, it came in really quickly and looked exactly as pictured!

Super soft and well made. No slip in stitching or wonky eyes. It's a bit smaller than I was anticipating, but I'd take quality over size. About 8 to 10 inches from head to tentacle tips, slightly weighted in the head.

He is an adorable plush and looks just like the pic, just much smaller than I had anticipated. Super soft underbelly and looks to be well made.

Cute, soft and quality. It also looks fairly realistic in comparison to others available. The size is small but the description notes the size so that shouldn't be an issue or surprise. My older son (6) likes it more than my 3 yo who it was purchased for but oh well. Overall, for the cost and quality, I can't complain.

I got this for my daughter, who loves all stuffies. The fabric is just beautiful, with a hint of soft metallic shine underneath. It's not floppy, so it holds its shape on her shelf. Lovely cephalopod!

E' molto bello, morbido e allo stesso tempo capace di reggersi sui tentacoli. E' ben fatto, sia come materiali sia come forme. Consigliato.

Ich habe schon länger nach einem schönem Oktopus Plüschtier für meinen 7-jährigen Cousin gesucht. Dieses war dann tatsächlich das Einzige, dass nicht wie ein Comictintenfisch aussah und bei dem das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nach meinem Empfinden gepasst hat. Ich habe ihm dazu ein Buch über die Unterwasserwelt geschenkt. Er hat sich sehr darüber gefreut und ihn "Oktopussi" getauft. Allein dafür hat es sich gelohnt. 🙂Die Lieferung ging schnell und die Verpackung war voll in Ordnung.
