Good for Chewers
Purchased these because the ones I usually get were out of stock. Comparable to the ones I usually get. My Westie loves yak sticks and they last much longer than bulky sticks.

My dog's favorite!
The only bones my dog prefers! She stays occupied at night before bed and these bones never make a mess. Each one lasts about 5 days and satisfies her chewing and endorphins responses! Never a piece of chewed furniture or shoes! And I feel good she is eating a healthy treat.

Keeps her busy and off our things!!! Last a long time!
The reason we got this was to hopefully stop our dog from chewing on things he should not.... we tried getting her toys and other bones.... we were looking for something tough and would taste good so she could spend days chewing the same thing...Our pet clinic had recommended something like this.....Anyhow at first she didn’t want it cause she still wanted to be naughty but after a few days leaving it on the ground she started chewing it!!!! She is a shitzu chihuahua so you can imagine how long it takes for her to finish one of these!?! About a 2 weeks!!!!! Well.... it’s 2 weeks of her not chewing our things or the kids toys!!!! We want to get small size and she go through them so fast, this was made more sense.I don’t know what they taste like (of course) and there is minimal smell but they are being generous in size and quantity!! I bought this bag months ago and she’s only gone through half!!!!!!It has detoured her from chewing things which is what our goal was.... once in a while she will try to chew something but we throw this her way and she goes to town with it!!!Hopefully by the time she is done with this pack she will have gotten over the chewing if not we will be buying another pack cause this is so much cheaper than having to replace footwear toys and other things!! I haven’t looked if there were other flavors yet but hoping so...If you have a little chewer on your hands try giving her something that she can chew on for days....Hope this was helpful

Actually lasted pretty long
I got these because everything that is supposed to last a long time rarely does with my dogs. I remember when I got the first bully stick for my 90 pound dog Gobi, when he was still a puppy and he chewed on it for hours. Now, he is done with them in about 20 minutes. My other dog Sahara (80 pounds) is pretty picky about what she chews on and will turn her nose up at many things. So, when I handed them to the pups Gobi happily trotted off to chew on it. Sahara did some sniffing and took it, reluctantly. But Sahara left hers after a few minutes and I figured that was it. When I walked upstairs later I found that Gobi had chewed maybe a quarter of his and left the rest. Then later that night they were trading off stealing the others yak sticks. A couple days later I gave them each another one and this time they trotted off to their respective spots and started happily gnawing away. I don't think they've completely finished one yet, but I could be wrong. There is one that is about two inches long now and Sahara will spend time just chewing and rolling it around in her mouth. So, I ordered some more and we'll see if that continues. These will end up likely being an "every once in a while" treat because they are too expensive to get on a regular basis. But they do seem to keep the dogs occupied and happy for a while.

My sago wouldn’t even try it
Smell is light but gross and my dog would not even lick it, she smelled it and walked away every time I tried to get her to try them. Non returnable so over $25 wasted and in the trash. Really wanted her to like these and she did not.

They actually last!
I've heard from other dog owners about the lasting quality of Himalyan yak cheese and this package did not disappoint. It's rare that my 2 year old dog fails to devour anything remotely edible when crated for 3 hours, but this product not only lasted, but over a 3rd of the dog chew lived to see another day!I understand the term, "long lasting" is difficult to defined due to chewing abilities amongst a variety of breeds, but no seller can honestly claim this description on a product devoured in mere minutes. Jack-n-pup's Yak product delivers the real deal!PS. I read the one star review of the owner that lost her dog and attributed it to this Himalyan cheese stick. My heart aches for her and I hesitate dto say the following as the last thing I want to do is add to her already great pain and grief, but it needs to be said for all dog owners. Every dog treat from rawhide, to gooves, pigs ears, etcetera, comes with a warning to supervise your dog. I likely saved a dog's life who'd ingested a 9 inch rawhide that was stuck in his throat. I knowingly take the chance that my aggressive chewer who must be crated in my absence, may get this treat, toys, blankets, or anything in his crate, stuck in his throat. I reluctantly make this choice whenever I leave home because in his case (complex and TMI) I have not found a viable alternative. But owners must be aware of the danger of any object a dog can access in their absence.

Inconsistent Quality
I ordered two packages of this product, one package was fine but the other package had a strong chemical smell when opened. We had to discard it since it was not eligible for return or refund.

Golden recommended
Our golden retriever will do almost anything for a treat, and a treat he can gnaw on for awhile is even better, add to the fact it keeps him busy and happy while I work and cook meals and we are both happy. I had never tried these before but after reading the reviews from other dog parents they seem to be popular with canines so we gave them a try. I like this brand, we have bought their pig ears in the past and Tucker enjoys those, their dog treats arrive fresh and I’m satisfied with the size and the price. Tucker fell in love with these, the first one I gave him was gone after one day but he is an aggressive chewer and he worked on that sucker constantly for most of the day, by the next morning there was a small chunk left which he finished off before noon, I like that these only have a few simple ingredients, yak cheese, lime and salt. Three came in a zip lock resealable package and they were a good size, they were hard enough that I couldn’t break them by hand.
