Better than more modern digital
Maybe the oldest style thermometer for meat but easy to use and read. solid construction and whilst a rather sharp point in the air if you put it down without thinking less chance of burning yourself during use than modern ones seem to cause - maybe I am just clumsy. At the price point of this it is definitely worth a go over expesive digital ones.

Pleased
I left the thermometer in whilst cooking. The dial is larger enough to read the temp without opening the oven door. My roast beef was perfectly cooked. Very pleased. Excellent value for money and nice traditional design.

Simple and battery free
I'm boring enough to get excited by simple cooking gadgets, so I love this. No batteries needed which is even better. Sometimes old school is the best.

Old favourite ...
Used the same meat Tala meat thermometer for years - new one due to someone ( who shall be nameless) decided it needed " a good soak " , joking apart easy to use , i think it will see out , no faff no this " mature - don't cope with digital " so durable , great reliable performance , i note the longer probe so the size is an improvement and such value for money . Seems accurate, can go inside the oven
Seems accurate compared to my digital thermomiter. I have put these directly in the oven and they have survived just fine.

Cheap but not accurate
Its not very accurate, but at least consistently not accurate. Probably just down to quality control. Mine reads about 10deg too low compared to my Bosch oven probe and other digital probe, but handy to have as a guide and leave it in the joint while cooking.
