When I first got it in the mail, I was expecting a nice soft memory foam cushion, and I was taken aback when I got it out of the box and it felt stiff like cardboard. I was REALLY UPSET at first, to the point where I almost returned it thinking there was something wrong with how stiff the thing is when you're just holding it...but then I went back and read the item description against and noted that it said it was high density foam and read another review about the stiffness yet working for the purpose and decided to give it a sit...So, at the time of writing this, I have a mild, but annoying, sciatic nerve pinch when I sit for a few minutes or more. Considering what I'm dealing with, I have to squirm my way into a sitting position that doesn't aggravate it, even with this other soft foam cushion I have. Using this SnugPad, I initially was skeptical upon sitting on it due to the cardboard-like stiffness, but after a few seconds my butt began to slowly sink into it and I didn't have any pinch happen at all... so yeah, it actually does work. You really just have to get past the initial shock of how stiff it is.

*Received this product as an offer for an honest review.* While delivering my son my tailbone snapped. So over the years sitting for a period of time shoots pain up my spine. I'm always having to move around and adjust. I've used this Snugpad for about 3 weeks now. I was iffy at first because of how firm it felt. The true test was using it while I watched my daughters 2 1/2 hr. long gymnastics practice on bleachers. It was arkward at first because of the firmness, but after awhile I had noticed as time went by I had not moved. No going up on one side of my butt to the other. I had sat there comfortably without any pain or discomfort. So with that being said, this Snugpad is great. I highly recommend it.

As a transcriptionist, I sit at my desk a lot. My hip and lower back were starting to bother me a bit, and I figured the cause of that discomfort was the crappy old chair I was sitting on every day. But I didn't have space to upgrade to a big comfy office chair, so I picked this up instead. Amazing transformation in how I feel... I'm not constantly readjusting my position or squirming around like before. I can get my work done and not feel completely awful at the end of the afternoon. I'm glad that I went with this instead of a new chair, because this is portable and I can take it with me if I need to.

Due to the COVID-19 forcing us to work from home, I have been spending 10 hours a day sitting at my desk at home. The chair I have was not purchased with the intent for long days, but for short sessions. After the first week my hips and lower back were in severe pain. Running out for a new chair was not an option so I purchased this cushion. I immediately felt my posture improve while sitting and the pain in my hips has gone away!

I bought this for my mother to try to help her sciatic pain, but this cushion was pretty much hard as a rock when sitting on it.I tried it out for myself and it was super firm.I thought this would be a nice medium soft cushion, but I was wrong.So i may end up trying one of the egg versions out there to see if that is any better for what she is looking for

Maybe needs to be just a little more thick

I used this in my office chair. It relieved my back pain. I was worried it would be too hard because of the plastic wrapping. But it is not too hard. It is just right. No more back pain after hours of sitting.
