Etudes Tableaux, Op. 33 & 39: Schirmer Library of Classics Volume 2002 Piano Solo (Schirmer's Library of Musical Classics) Paperback – March 1, 1996

Does not include all of the etude tableaux. Got bamboozled big time. Needed no. 4 op. 33 for a competition and when it arrived, there was no no.4

Like all Schirmer books I've used, the content is easy to read and the book is well-constructed.However, this book does NOT include all etudes from opus 33! Specifically, it does NOT include the two etudes published posthumously: C minor and D minor. I really wish this fact was revealed either on the book's cover or in the product description. (Note that the book's cover specifies "nine" etudes for opus 39, but does not specify a count for opus 33.) This book is essentially a reprint of the original 1911 publication, and it uses the opus 33 numberings from that edition. Wikipedia has a good summary of the relevant publication history: [...] For contrast, the Dover edition appears to include all opus 33 etudes, including C minor and D minor: Complete Preludes and Etudes-Tableaux (Dover Music for Piano)Rated 2 stars for the misleading lack of information. Otherwise, this would be 5 stars.

It did not include all 8 of the Opus 33 etudes.
