I have a large tower computer that's running as a media server 24/7. It has an 8 core Ryzen CPU and an Nvidia GPU and these generate a lot of heat. The internal fans stop the machine from overheating but I have the additional problem that the only place it can stand is under a desk in a fairly small study at home. The heat generated gathers on top of the computer and is trapped by the desk so there's a lot of heat in that area that doesn't escape, even with normal convection. It does keep one's knees toasty though. I bought this in order to move the hot air from under the desk and it works brilliantly. Plugged into one of the USB ports on the back of the tower, it sits on the tower and blows the heat out into the the room, where normal ventilation deals with it. Problem solved. It's quiet, and does the job on the lowest of the three fan settings. How well this holds up to 24/7 operation without pause remains to be seen, but even if it only lasts a year it costs just a little more than an overpriced pint of beer in an inner London pub. Delighted with it.

Value for money: This is really an excellent fan, its almost silent on its first speed which is ideal for when your in bed. And the other speeds are also great to keep you feeling cool even when it very hot.

Overall, I like it. It’s compact and inoffensive to look at. It seems very well made. On lowest setting, sat on the desk in front of me it provides enough moving air to keep cool, I haven’t really had to use the middle or higher settings. On the negative side: it’s not “silent” (I never expected that anyway), but I would say it’s particularly quiet either… there’s quite a hum on the lowest setting which gets really quite loud as you increase the speed. Can be quieter if isolated from the desk surface on something that absorbs the vibrations.

The air flow on these is much better than the older versions. The last one i had from the same brand literally didn't turn off for a full year cooling my laptops internals and eventually burned out. So for the price these are actually great fans. You might not think it but you can pry them open and clean them i have managed that on each model so far but i do have a lot of tools for fiddly tasks here. They are not too noisy and they hardly use any power to run them. Great really happy with them :)

I was dubious as to whether this would work well or not, but I have to say I was impressed. It has three power settings and even the lowest setting is good. It's quiet and portable which makes for a great little desk fan.

Its a good fan . The reason for 3 stars . Very flimsy. Does not stand up. Have to secure with velcro. A bit expensive too . I will keep the product, as small and is convenient for office table. Noise is good .

Does the job well for heat waive in uk summer, even when sleeping at night. The wind cover range is wide enough for the whole body. Better than I expected and works well. It’s on USB power without battery so you won’t have to worry about the battery stops working which my previous one did. Very good investment.

My last desk fan died, bought this as a replacement . Very pleased. It has 5 speed settings, the higher the speed, the louder it gets, but i find the first speed more than adequate , and it's fairly quiet, none of the settings are too loud anyway.⁰
