Many of my pen display boxes were quite expensive and no longer available. I need another one and bought this because of the price. The black color is actually richer than expected. It has a plastic (clear plexi-glass) cover rather than glass, but it looks ok. The bottom drawer was a bit tight but swapped it out with the one in the middle and it works much better.Remember, you are only paying just over 50 dollars for the display case, so put things in perspective. I have only had it a day but how much abuse do display cases really get over the years.

as a moderately priced item it gets the job done

I have 3 of these for my Furls and Ophire 7" hooks (resin, metal, and wood) and they fit perfectly. The flocked slots/spaces keep them from getting scratched or damaged. You can fit an entire set (3.5 E to 9.0 M) in one row. The quality is good. The price is very good compared to others I researched in exotic woods. Mine have no stain voids or rough edges. The drawers operate nicely.

This is the perfect size to store my crochet hooks. Beautiful glass top shows my pretty Furls crochet hooks!
