Beauty in Lies Paperback – June 3, 2022

Okay let’s be honest… I hated and loved the series as it is. It was written perfectly and I finished it in 2 days. Hated that she had no opinion and he kept keeping secrets from her but the outcome was the best. So recommend and head the warnings because they do exist for a reason!!!

This is one of those must read authors for me. As always check your TRIGGER WARNINGS prior to readings as this is a dark mafia romance. Their relationship was fast paced in the beginning and pushes a lot of boundaries. I think the FMC and the MMC are the perfect complement to each other. Our FMC is young, naïve and inexperienced whereas our MMC cold, dark, broody, experienced and conniving. The MMC raises every red flag and is the villain in the story and although he is a possessive alpha male, his love for the FMC is never overshadowed by his darkness. The MMC is one of those you hate but can’t help but love characters. The author did an excellent job showing the growth the FMC goes through throughout the series. She becomes the queen she was meant to be with the MMC to guide her. She was as much his savior as he was hers in different ways. The tension and spice was portrayed well by the author. There was a decent amount of spice throughout but it did not override the plot which is something I typically ding for. This was a mafia series I could not put down and would definitely read again and highly recommend!

Omg!! Where to even start with this Review.. First, definitely take the trigger warning seriously.Rafe is everything you could possible want in an OTT J/P Book Husband all wrapped up in a big, dark beautiful bow!!Rafael first sees Isa and claims her before he can actually take her.. He puts people in her life to ensure her safety and purity until shes of age.Isa Is officially graduated and goes on vacation with her friends where she meets the man of her dreams.. Que Rafe. Its fate except it's not. Things progress super quick after their first night together. Its beautiful until a bomb is dropped and Isa tries to flee and ends up meeting the other version of Rafe (El Diablo). Things spiral after that. Secrets are spilled, lines are crossed and trust is broken.I let this series sit in my tbr wayyyy too long! For real, if you a love dark, trigger filled romance then you're gonna want to read this like now ; )

I loved loved loved this book so much so that I devoured it in a few days! The plot, characters, twists and turns, spicy scenes, and the ending… PHENOMENAL!! Hands down best be of the best books I’ve read all year!!!!

What a lot to take in!Although I did enjoy the overall series as a whole, I do think some of the books needed a little bit more when it came to plot.I like how we saw characters from different series, especially bloodied hands.I love some of the fitting punishments for the enemies, especially that last male enemy!I just felt a little dramatic, and not a lot of developments that was significant to me.Rafe will never change which I thoroughly I’m OK with when it comes to these types of dark heroes.But Isa which is a doormat and building her self up to something that would not take, but then she fell back to being a doormat and letting everything happen. It was until the last book that you actually saw her become something more and well-established stabilized!Although I do think that her sister needed a little bit more punishment I’m glad it ended the way it did.Although the actual ending reminds me of a different series by Jenna, darling, and how someone was going to go find another person. Which, then leads to a new series or spinoff standalone.I would recommend reading this book. Please check the trigger warnings because it’s very heavy on the breeding, tampering, noncon, and so much more.

Wow, talk about a journey. I entered this box set not really knowing what to think but in the mood for mafia and came out on the other side with a story I didn’t expect. Rafe and Isa had quite the battle, but I really enjoyed the last two books once they settled into their relationship. I would’ve preferred to see more of their relationship as they evolved since we spent so much time with them, and especially as they became more domestic. Curious about the other books, namely the brothers. 3.5 stars.

That was a journey, but it was so worth it. Loved how Isa came into her strength and how Rafe loved her. Honestly I hated her family before the truth ever even came out. Lol I'm still trying to fathom all the ways that rafe and Isa were connected.

Could not put it down!This is my first time reading this author but will not be my last.If you have not read this book - run, dont walk! Its a must read.

This was far the first novel that got me rolling my eyes so much, that I have fairly lost count , no development inthe characters or their personality. Everything was so dragged and rushed at the same time. Like she falls for him in 3 days. Like what the Hell, It gets ridiculous as it goes on. I have no clue which part of community liked this novel but It is definitely not me.

This was my first time reading a book from this author and I can honestly say it will not be my last. I was given the opportunity to read this box set for an honest review and I absolutely loved it. However I do recommend checking TW's before starting this book.I couldn't put it down - it keeps you gripped fromstart to end.I absolutely fell in love with Rafe. The "i hate everyone but her" trope is perfect for this book and Isa is such an amazing character too. The character and story development with the characters is phenomenal and I absolutely adore the authors writing style.I loved the ~good girls don't always have more fun~ aspect and the dark themes running through it. There's so many tropes woven into this box set that i absolutely love - and some that i didn't realise i loved until right now.I'd 100% recommend this book if you're a lover of possessive alpha males, dark romance, age gap romance and experienced male/inexperienced girl. But again, definitely check TW's.

I loved this story it is so well written heaps of Steam great story so hot 😱 full on alpha male and I loved how she refused to put up with it.
