Works well in the lift top, oak coffee table I built. They squeak a bit and requires two hands to lift/lower, but feel solid when raised.

The media could not be loaded. As other customers stated the springs are noisy. I brushes the springs with fishing reel grease (what I had closest to me at the time) and now they are basically silent

I put these lift hinges on a display coffee table I made, the top of which is relatively heavy with solid wood, lights, and glass. There is some lateral movement when opening and closing, so be sure you have a way to get your top aligned somehow when closed. Also, support your table top when open and closing. When the holding springs get over center the top can spring either open or closed pretty rapidly. I imagine these lift hinges would work well enough on up to a 60 or 70 pound top.

They work great. Quite the strong spring. Mine arivved slightly bent or not aligned right, I side mounted it and when it closed the top hinge was hitting the wood mount side, had to put spacers in which was difficult in the small space. They work well now with spacers.

I used these to turn an old toy box into a lift top coffee table. Those things are so expensive but with this hardware, I got the table I wanted at a fraction of the cost.Would recommend.

Built an oak coffee table and used these brackets. They feel very strong and secure. I like them a lot, only drawback is that the springs echo and can be loud when opening and closing.

I like everything about this item. It works perfectly, and easy to install. I am about to order another set.
