HutzlerOlive Keeper, Kalamatta Red

I don't eat lots of olives, but thought it might fit large avocados. It works fine for those, so I don't need plastic bags. Only keeps overnight, without browning, as with any storage of avocados. You can scrape off the brown part, though, and it will probably be green underneath. I may occasionally use them for olives and it's strangely cute. I have the two onions, tomato, and lemon, so knew what to expect.Tip for opening. Sometimes these don't want to open easily, but I run mine under very warm to hot water (not too hot, tho). I grasp it and it usually opens after that. Either the water lubricates the joint, or the plastic contracts when cold, and the hot water expands the plastic enough to loosen it. I've had good luck, kind of fiddling to find the best way, since these are brilliant weggie and fruit keepers.

And if you do get them separated, everything inside, presumably olives, are going to fly everywhere. If you have arthritis, you may never get it open. I did give them a couple stars back though for giving me a full refund and telling me to keep the item. However, even at free, does not change the fact that it is unusable and designed terribly.

Made my olive go bad and moldy within a week.

I dislike the fact that the packing sip shows a price of $5.99, while I was charged $14.26!

Was not what I expected. Just a container, was expecting a way to seperate olive from juice.

Cute/clever container for olives, but a bit hard to open.

I love this...it can fit a whole can of olives (I use black olives) and keeps them fresh.
