and I wasn't sure I'd like it so I didn't wanna be stuck with a ...
I have GERD, IBS, and migraines. Fiber is incredibly important for trying to manage IBS in particular but I've noticed significant benefit with GERD as well as the migraines when I'm on a regular fiber supplement. Over the years I have tried a number of fiber supplements. I would prefer to take pills, because I find it easier to remember to do each day rather than having to go mix up a glass of powder with juice/etc. The problem I had with the pills was that largely they are only bulk-forming, which doesn't help as much for IBS as people seem to thim. Even after slowly increasing my intake (over the course of months), the pills frequently caused extreme bloating and other issues. I ended up going off fiber supplements all together for nearly a year, and recently decided to get back into the routine of it. I looked at the available powdered options, and settled on this brand as I'd never tried it before and the price was reasonable enough. I purchased the travel packs since it was the smallest amount I could find on amazon prime at the time, and I wasn't sure I'd like it so I didn't wanna be stuck with a full pound. I've been taking it for a bout two weeks now, increasing the dose slowly as instructed on the box and I'm thrilled. I am already noticing the benefits of the soluble fiber (vs the bulk-forming insoluble fiber versions usually found in fiber pills). Within the first week I was no longer having daily IBS attacks and my overall feeling of malaise and misery has disappeared. As anyone with significant IBS issues probably knows, IBS can cause the vagus nerve to behave strangely and cause anxiety, lightheadedness, blood pressure changes, mood changes, and many other things. I experienced these issues in a major way for a long time before realizing how much of it was IBS. I'm a lot more careful of how I manage it now, and for me, the soluble fiber route seems to be one of the biggest factors for keeping it under control. If you struggle with any of these things, do yourself a favor and give soluble fiber a try!

This is good fiber, i like it.
Not only do i like this, it is a really good form of fiber. i had zero trouble assimilating it into my body. i did it slow so as to avoid any issues, as was suggested by the product. which comes with a video talking about it so that was nice and informative. i take 1 packet and put it into my water bottle for the day and voila, i can check daily fiber off the list for the day!! LOL (i also take magnesium supplements along with this as well) and Actually!!! if you do your research you'll find that fiber is the FOOD good bacteria in the gut feed on. They go together, so wenever i take a fiber i pop a good bacteria capsule. If you do your research- that is the one thing that centennials have in common, they eat a diet rich in fiber -daily. Interesting stuff if your into that kind of thing and i definitely am.

Good product, it works
I love this product but the price is better if you don't buy these individual packets but get the bag instead. The way I get it to dissolve is to put it in a water bottle, add water, shake it up and then let it sit for a while. When I come back to it after 30 minutes or so it's completely dissolved.

Im torn from sleep by painful urgency and gripping anxiety
I have been suffering from abdominal pains and diarrhea every morning for the past twenty years. Let me explain what I mean by suffering. My alarm clock is my bowls. 5:30AM, Im torn from sleep by painful urgency and gripping anxiety. I reach the toilet just in time to endure the first of many battles. The pain is exquisite. Sweating, praying, swearing, pleading, violent shaking, chills, ending in nausea and often dry heaving. After about 45 minutes, the first battle of the morning is over. I go back to bed and pass out from exhaustion only to wake up 20 minutes later to do it all again. It hasn't always been this bad or as often, but the older I get the worse it gets. Ive tried EVERYTHING. Dairy free, Gluten free, Vegan, Elimination of every type of food. Ive tried prescription medications. Ive seen the best UCLA gastroenterologist, and have been scanned, probed, ex rayed, colonoscopied etc. . . My life was no life at all. Having friends, a girlfriend, or accomplishing my hopes and dreams is impossibility when I spend half my day crying and praying for death on the toilet. Thoughts of "The Long Sleep" were often on my mind. And then I found HEATHER! I was told about The peppermint oil pills and Acacia tummy fiber by a random lady at wholefoods. She saw that I was being polite and wasn't really taking her recommendation seriously. She said "Dont be an idiot, just try it for a week"! Ive never been called an idiot by a stranger, that I can remember. Her brazen attitude and insults stayed with me for the rest of the day and I ended up ordering both the peppermint oil pills and Acacia tummy fiber. I gave it an unenthusiastic shot. I cant remember if it was day 3 or day 4 that I woke up at 10:30 in the morning completely bewildered! "Is this really happening? Did I really just sleep in?" I asked out loud. Over the course of the next week the Hell that was my life, got better and better and better! I AM FREE!!!!!!!!!! I AM ALIVE!!!!!! I am a bit over dramatic. Well, not really. . . It has been 3 months now, and I now wake up early by choice, I take a yoga class 5 days a week, I meditate, I eat what I want (Ice cream, bread OMG bread), Im building the house of my dreams, and making sweet, sweet Whoopy with a wonderful girl that I met on a hike last month, and so much more! This review might be just a bit TMI, but I know there are a whole lot of people out there like me that have tried everything. Please, Try this, and start living again! Heather, who every you are, thank you from the bottom of my heart. . . and bottom!!! -D Here's what I do: Acacia tummy fiber - 3 times a day on an empty stomach along with a Peppermint oil pill. - I put one teaspoon in a small mason jar and fill it with water and bring it up to bed and put it next to my bottle of Peppermint oil pills, so I can take them first thing in the morning. - I take the next one at 3:00pm and the last one an hour or so after dinner, always with a peppermint pill. - SET THE ALARM ON YOUR PHONE 3 TIMES A DAY AND GET ON WITH YOUR LIFE!!!!

A good soluble fiber
A good soluble fiber, but a few things to keep in mind: - It doesn't dissolve nearly as well as they say it does. It will clump up in water or other liquids. I've had the best success folding it into semi-dry food, like the condiments on a sandwich, things like that. It's not a problem if it clumps, it doesn't taste bad, but it's something to be aware of. If you have wet ingredients you use often, it might be useful to pre-mix them with a blender or immersion blender ahead of time. E.g. I eat rice as cereal or rice-based cereals often, which have no fiber. Premixing the fiber in milk would be really helpful here. Under blending conditions, it will break up and dissolve very well. - The recommended doses are probably too high. If you put a few tbsp of this on every meal, you'll likely end up with diarrhea. Too much fiber of any kind will become a laxative. This likely accounts for some of the negative reviews -- it takes some effort to find a good balance. In my experience, I've been better off being conservative with the amount. - Some of the IBS-related info on the Heather's site is just BS. It both recommends foods with insoluble fiber while demonizing insoluble fiber as the enemy of IBS sufferers. In my experience (just an anecdote of course), insoluble fiber isn't the enemy, but rather the balance of fiber and other ingredients. It's easy to overload on insoluble fiber from foods like whole grains and bran cereals. If you eat a large bowl of Raisin Bran you've gotten like 60% of the fiber you need *for a whole day.* I've had no problem incorporating insoluble fiber in reasonable amounts. This is unrelated to the product, of course, and doesn't factor into my review. It's just something I think is worth noting because people who are likely to buy this might also be likely to read the stuff on her site.

Good for tummy but doesn't fully dissolve
My doctor recommended this product. It's good for my tummy, but doesn't fully dissolve in either hot or cold liquids. You kind of have to mash it up with the back of a spoon against the side of your cup.

Take Two... Pardon The Pun
I had originally bought the one pound bag directly from the site. I have high sensitivities to everything so I started below the lowest dose and it worked just as it said but by day for after my morning dose I had a bad headache that got worse with the second dose and was gone by morning. The next day, same thing. The day after that, I only took the morning dose and my headache was gone after 12 hours.. this whole time it was working and aside from being miserable with a headache, after trying almost everything and still having problems, I finally found something that truly works and my stomach finally felt good for the first time in years. I contemplated because of the headaches and returned it to the company. Contacted the company to find out about the headaches and they said it basically was unheard of, and I was dozing wrong (tell my bowels that), among other things which left me very disappointed. Heather even states to start slow and low and work your way up. NEWSFLASH! We are all different! After stopping it, my stomach went back to the “normal” I have unfortunately known for years and reluctantly decided to buy it again. This time I opted for the packets so I didn’t have to pay over 20.00 in case I had the same issue. This time, I started at an even lower dose and I am happy to report no headaches so far even after working up to the next dose. If you have IBS and are tired of feeling like poo and living on an intestinal roller coaster, I say to give it a try.. you will be pleasantly surprised. I will say that if you have sensitivities, are allergic to trees, etc. speak to your doctor first.
