First, I own several products from this brand; all thumb supports. I was referred to Amazon by an orthopedic surgeon due to the cost versus getting them thru insurance. Everything I’ve ordered has exceeded my expectations for the most part (quality of Velcro varies with all companies, in general). That being said, the fit is very comfortable & provides good compression for daily use without being annoying. I got these specifically for the thinner wrist support & chose Medium for better compression. I can even wear thumb rings while wearing these sleeves. Definitely recommend & will be buying more for replacements, as I wear these daily due to due arthritis & De Quervain’s Syndrome.

The medium I first order which was the lower one was too loose. Then I ordered the one that protects wrist too in size small. It is very tight going on but once I got it on and got used to it , it helps protect my thumb and wrist.

I originally read this as a soft brace itself- which it is not. It is not supportive or bracing in the least. But as a liner, it's perfect! It helps a GREAT deal when wearing an unlined brace, which most of mine are. Ah, the relief from that pinching velcro closure! You get two, and I have lost one, but I use the heck out of that one and I am probably going to buy more. Be warned that the flesh tone color stains/dirties easily and does not wash out as I hoped it would. So don't cut tomatoes with this on alone, it will stain. (That sounds like a "d'uh!" thing but this liner is so comfy I forget I have it on or just get too lazy to take it off. It has a nice feel!) Also, I have no idea how it is waterproof- I'd say it is not. I'm not sure what that claim even means in conjunction with this. I mean, if you get it wet, it's wet. But never mind that, it does everything else super well, is very comfortable, and makes life better if you wear a brace. Amen.

Does not work at all. I thought material would be more of an elastic workout band type but it’s literally just underwear cloth material. I bought for my injured thumb cause I don’t want to wear a bulky brace but completely did not stop movement. DO NOT Purchase! Instant return!

I bought this because my thumb is always sore from arthritis. I guess it's from too much bowling and electrical work during the past 50 years. Or too much age, but we won't go there. For me, this supported my thumb and felt good, as long as I didn't try to use my hand or thumb for anything. Otherwise, the resistance of the stretchy elastic made it even more difficult to move my thumb, and that hurt even more than not wearing this brace at all. Plus, the elastic was always too tight on my thumb, even when buying a larger size. While probably a good product for most people, it didn't work for me.

I also use a CMC Joint Thumb Brace especially at work, but most of the time I just Velpeau Elastic Thumb Support. It will not support your thumb like the brace but gives my thumb just enough support for when I am not using my hand too much.

I was not happy with this product. It didn’t give me any support. It barely hugged my wrist and thumb.

These fit really well around my wrist where I broke it. It has the perfect amount of support, not too tight. You can get them wet and they dry fairly quickly and they wash up well. Thumbs up five times.
