As I recall, these straws were on the higher end of the price range for this product... I'm not usually a high end shopper, but in this case, I bought them because they seemed to match some travel flatware (Zoyiancy, also available on Amazon) that I ordered at the same time. (Once the cutlery and straws arrived, it turns out that they are a perfect match!) The flatware sets were on the low end of the price range so I decided that I could justify it.I chose the silicone straws because I've read too many reviews where people said that they chipped their tooth on a metal straw. Other than that, it was all about the color. Now that I have them, I can say that they're pretty nice. The cup end is cut at an angle so your beverage won't be blocked if the straw is resting on the bottom of your cup. The sipping end is flattened, and there is a bit of a wider lip around the drinking edge. I don't know why I like those features so much, but I do. Partway down the straw is a place that looks like it is accordion fold (like a disposable bendy straw) but I think that is more for the appearance than anything because it is not actually accordion folded. The straws are nice and flexible, so I can fold them to fit into the (perfectly matching!!) flatware kit cases with no problem. I only have 3 of those, so the extra straws go in a plastic baggie (I reuse it over and over) in my purse and/or computer bag. I put one additional bag in with the straws and use it to segregate the used/dirty straws until I can wash them. I've also noticed that these fit perfectly in an Altoids tin, so that is another way to toss one in your bag.These straws come with a cleaning brush (I think they all do) but this is the best cleaning brush we have in our house because it has a flexible handle, and the bristles are wide enough to do a good job cleaning the inside diameter of this straw (I think the other straws and brushes we have are a little narrower.)Bottom line - I would recommend these, and if you're looking to make a full set with the green and blue Zoyiancy flatware kits, the colors are perfect.

Reusable is definitely the way to go. These are great!
