Map of the United States Sticker Picture (Dover Sticker Books) Misc. Supplies – July 7, 1997

I bought this map to use in conjunction with a book on the 50 states. I tutor an ESL student. Every session, we do another state. She puts the sticker in the book and we read about the state together. I quiz her on the states she has learned each session. The sticker book has a nice, broad colored outline of each state, so it's easy to position the stickers properly.The stickers are nice and sturdy - they don't fold in on themselves, and they're not frustrating to work with.As others have mentioned, the cluster of New England states is grouped in one sticker. It's not optimal, but the map is good-sized, and it would be too difficult to do one sticker for each of those states.For my purposes, this sticker book is perfect.

We love this map/sticker set. I’ve been using them for years with homeschooling to teach US geography. The kids have so much fun with it and learn placement of all states easily with this.Very sturdy and stickers stay on map.

These stickers are great! My husband and I just did a US driving trip and used these to show all the states we were traveling through on our back window! They stayed stuck on for the entire month long driving trip and were a great conversation starter everywhere we went. The didnt peal up even a little! When we cleaned them off we had to work to get them unstuck. Perfect for our uses and we loved them!

This is a great way to introduce younger kids to United States geography. My kindergartener and 2nd grader are using this along with our My Father's World Adventures in US curriculum. As we study a state, they stick the appropriate sticker over it. Stickers are reusable/able to be removed and replaced, which is great for when they don't get it lined up the way they want. No frustration! Also could use it as a reinforcing activity like a puzzle. This activity has really helped their memory recall! Their grandparents were recently over and looking at an unmarked map that they had colored the states we studied so far. They were able to tell their grandparents the names of each state. Great bang for your buck as well!

Helps kids to memorize states, locations and capitals. Stickers are removable but kind of on the thin side so I'm not sure how many times you can actually re-use them.

My son can learn the 50 states by using stickers and having fun.

We bought this to keep in our travel trailer and mark the states we have visited. It works great for this purpose, and the stickers are easy to reposition, which helps if you don't get it in just the right spot. They seem to stick well and not peel off, though we haven't tried sticking and re-sticking them lots of times.It comes folded in half, with the sticker pages stapled into the middle. Our first order of business was to remove the inside sticker pages and the staples. So in the end there is a big crease in the middle of the map and the two sticker pages are separate and loose. But that works okay for us.Do note that the size indicated in the description is the folded in half size. So the actual size when opened up is 18x24 inches.

This map is very helpful in teaching children and states and their capitols. They are colorful and the stickers make it extra fun. Two of my children used this map a few years ago and still have it hanging in their rooms and refer back to it often. I recently bought 2 more of these maps to teach my next 2.
