High quality all-leather flats
It's hard to find companies nowadays that make ballet flats that are leather inside and out, and so I've been buying Frye Carson flats for years. I've also purchased multiple pairs of Tieks, but after my last pair fell apart in multiple places, I don't want to take a gamble on buying those anymore and will stick with Frye.Appearance wise, these look structured while showing a bit of toe cleavage, so they look really nice with dresses and skirts. These are extremely high quality - the only problem is, the leather sole wears through. I've tried to circumvent that this time by having rubber half soles added (you can do that at a cobbler or do it yourself), so we'll see if that helps increase wear time. Otherwise the rest of the shoe holds up really nicely - I've had about 7 or 8 pairs of these over the past 5 years, and the only point of failure is the leather sole wearing through at the ball of the foot.Frye, please don't EVER stop making these flats!

The iconic American flat (and boots)
The Frye Carson ballet flat in my opinion looks and fits like a skimmer. The leather is superb, quite soft, and will stretch. That said, I purchase a 9.5 rather than my normal 9M because of the shape of my foot. My foot is a bit wide across the ball of the foot and my second toes are longer. I do have cork inserts should I need them. Color can be problematic with Frye Carson ballet flat. When I have purchased brown shades, all has been well. However, the antique navy, even in strong light, appeared black. I purchased the color iris a couple of years back and the shoe is quite dark, almost black in appearance, rather than a purple. Nonetheless, Frye shoes and boots are beautifully made of excellent materials and the quality is as good as it gets. I did return the navy only because of the color. And I will keep adding to my shoe wardrobe, they are the step into and go classic.

Perfect!
I have this problem with flats - they always rub against my heel and give me blisters, so I decided I wanted to get a high-end pair that would be kinder to my feet and also last a long time. I found a pair of Frye boat shoes at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago and they have been so comfortable! No blisters, they were so comfy right from the start. I've had my eyes on these shoes for quite a while but was having a hard time justifying such a large purchase. I was browsing one day and discovered they were 25% off so I went for it. I got the charcoal color, since I've got that blindingly white Irish skin, thought it would be less harsh than black. I was right! The color is perfect, not too bold but will be a great shoe for so many outfits. They are a bit tight but I expected that after reading other reviews. I know they'll loosen up a bit once I get some nice wear in them. And since the leather is so soft, I wore them right away for the entire day and not even a hint of a blister. Will buy again!

Beautiful ballet flat, but painful on big toe joint
I desperately want these flats to work for me. They’re soft leather and a very flattering fit. Unfortunately the seam of the shoe cuts very firmly across my big toe joint and I’m afraid they might not ever relax enough to not cause me pain when I wear them.I also purchase Thursday brand ballet flats, which look nearly identical to these shoes. The Thursday flats also cut across my toe joint but the seam is much softer. I’m sadly returning the Fryes.

Quality and comfort; recommended from this seller
These are stamped made in Mexico and are the quality I would expect from Frye, so unlike other reviewers, I think I received "real" ones (I got them from 6pm, LLC). They fit true-to-size but are definitely a little stiff when they come out of the box; they soften quickly. I got the blush and it's a nice pale pink; I am a little concerned they will show grime quickly. If you buy them, I suggest some kind of suede protectant. They have a leather sole and are good for walking but will not be good for puddles or mud. Great casual shoes for around the office or house when heels are too much. I'll be buying other colors (but they're *much* more expensive in e.g black).

These don't last!
I am an avid Frye fan and loved these shoes when I initially bought them. They were both comfortable and stylish. I bought them for my wedding and avoided wearing them as much as possible until that day. After my wedding which was outdoors, they were completely ruined. Four hours in the grass turned them completely green and I have never been able to get out the stains. The shoes also completely lost their shape. You would seriously not recognize these shoes today, they look like they should cost $10. I'm so disappointed and unfortunately, since this was over a year since the purchase, I cannot return them to Frye. These shoes are completely ruined after about 30 total hours of wear (being breaking them in a few times and the day of the wedding.) If you are going to buy these shoes, do not buy the white color and do not wear them in grass. If you're okay with this and still want to pay $150, then I hope they turn out well for you!

Not as narrow as expected
I've had these shoes for almost a year, and they just keep getting better! Very comfy, versatile, and well made. I usually wear an 8, but sized up to an 8.5, ad many people said these ran narrow. This wasn't the case for me - they're plenty wide, and I kinda wish I'd gotten an 8.

Perfect casual shoe
I own 4 pair of Frye boots, and love the style and quality. First time ordering the Carson flat and was not disappointed. The fit was perfect out of the box. I am a size 7 for the most part, and this is the size I ordered. I was surprised to see this pair of shoes was made in China, as all of my boots have been made in the USA or Mexico. For this reason only I feel the price is a bit steep, and although willing to pay it -would rather they were US made. The soles are a bit slippery until they've been worn a couple times - great little flat.

No support, sent back
Very light shoe, no support, not suitable for outdoors. Beautiful leather! Sent back.

I paid attention to reviews and ordered these in 1/2 size bigger. Really nice Shoes.
These are really well made shoes...The ones I got were made in Mexico. The upper is leather, they are lined with leather and the soles are leather with a triangle patch on heel to prevent slipping....I usually take a 7 but ordered a 7.5...I saw other reviews that said order 1 size larger...I probably could have ordered an 8 too...but I think being leather they will stretch out with wear...I might order another pair in brown...

Takes a little breaking in.
These shoes were a bit intimidating at first. No traction and completely flat. After a few days of wearing, the leather loosened up and they are not as slippery. I find them comfy. I could use a bit more leather around the toes for some more coverage on my feet. I'm not sure how long they will last but I will be wearing them less as we head into cooler temperatures. All in all, I would buy them in other colours for the right price.

Perfect
Exactly as they look. The price was unbeatable. I have slightly narrow feet, they fit perfectly.

Beautiful shoes
I love these! I usually fit between size 6 and 6.5 in flats and ordered these in 6 because the leather will stretch a little with wear. They fit perfect in length and a little snug in width so they will be perfect after a couple wears. The coral suede is beautiful and exactly as I hoped it would be.
