Dumpling Cats: Crochet and Collect Them All!

I bought this book shortly after learning to crochet with Woobles. It's fabulously written and the patterns are easy to follow. I've made several of the kitties in this book for my kids and they love them.

I this this is a great book to use if you're just getting into amigurumi. The explanations of stitches and techniques are well done and the patterns are easy to follow. I've made a few now put this is my version of the Paula pattern. I recommend sizing down on your hook for tighter stitches.

I love the endearingly different kitties and cats with their corresponding patterns. The pictures are adorable and the instructions are clear. I recommend it for beginners and experts alike.

Great patterns if you are new to amigurumi. There are many photos to accompany the instructions and a stitch glossary that gives details about the stitches used. More advanced crocheters will enjoy personalizing these versatile patterns. I can't say I love all the designs but I appreciate the diversity.Some reviews mentioned errors in a couple of patterns, don't let these minor mistakes discourage you. If you love cats, you'll want this book. The photos are fantastic and the little biographies that go with each cat are amusing.I also want to mention that this is a large book-8" wide x 11" tall and it is printed on high quality paper. The large type may be helpful to those struggle with fine print.I've only made Tater so far but look forward to making more kitties and their accessories.

Super cute patterns. Some of the instructions were a bit confusing so I had to improvise. I also wish the book was spiral bound to stay open while following the patterns.

No dislikes bought this for a Christmas present for my sister-in-law

They're all jelly-bean shaped and terribly cute. Pocket-sized pets that won't dirty the pocket!

These patterns are easy to read and fun to make. They are in American terminology (so SC not DC) but I haven’t found it difficult to translate as I am crocheting. The book does have a page of brief stitch descriptions, but if you are new to crochet, i’d buy a reference book too (like the “Handbook of Crochet Stitches” which has diagrams of how to make the basic stitches). The cats that I have already made, have been very popular with my daughter and her friends - who can resist those cute eyes and rounded bodies? There are 25 cat patterns (some in costume) and 3 bonus patterns of accessories. Each pattern is written out (instead of a diagram) and has clear photos to illustrate important steps in making the cats.As well as a crochet hook and wool, you will also need stitch markers, black round safety eyes and toy filling to create your dumpling cats. These don’t have whiskers, but I have used thin hemp cord for headers to create whiskers on mine.
