Very pleased with this lumber. They are all straight and flat with good grain patterns.Perfect for me to dimension and cut up and then glue into a cutting board.Don't know if I just got lucky but I ordered some exotics from the same vendor, Barrington Hardwoods, so we shall see.

Quality wood for making cutting boards, at a good price point. The selection of wood is great and easy to combine with other species. The length and width make it great for sending through a planer.

Very true boards nice grain patten wish they were a little bit bigger price is good.

I've ordered this wood pack multiple times and it has always been excellent. This last batch however was about 80% perfect wood.

I have ordered the 24 inch pack before and all the boards were exactly the same dimensions. This 18 inch x 3/4 inch by 2 inch pack has the following dimensions : Maple Boards 18 x 13/16ths x 2. Oversize by 1/16th. Walnut Boards 17 & 14/16ths long (should be 18 inches) thus 1/8th shorter. Fortunately I am making another chess board and it will be sanded to make the surface flat on both sides and squared up to make a 16 x 16 inch chess board, so I am not prevented from completing the project. If you need accuracy, check the dimensions before you start. The size difference for me was obvious when I put the Maple and Walnut flat side by side, but I knew I would be sanding flat anyway. As I wanted to get the project started I decide not to return the item, as I would adjust it anyway as described. Photos show both ends of the two boards.
