High quality, high strand count
I have to admit that I only used a dozen feet of this for boat wiring and it was overkill i.e. 10 gauge for navigation lighting. The majority of it was used connecting the output from a home solar array to an MPPT / solar controller.Technically you are supposed to use wire specific for that task which has a very very thick insulation -but- the wiring for doing this is often much more expensive, less flexible and has a lower strand count and is not tin plated. After discussing the the inspector, they allowed me to use this product. In the end it was decided this was better wire in general and since all lines were all being run through PVC conduit, the "issue" of not have the extra thick insulation would not be a problem.Note: If you are going to use it for a similar use i.e. solar - make sure to mention it to the inspector ahead of time and get them to sign off on it first. The wire was used / cut to length and MC4 connectors attached to each end. Normally MC4 housings are waterproof but I just feel better with the tin on the strands to help prevent any corrosion issues. Also the higher strand count allowed a really nice crush / 100% all around contact when crimping in the MC4 connectors - something that was not possible with the 7 strand solar wiring I was originally looking at purchasing.

Marine grade wire
Very fine stranded, tinned and flexible. #10 is Good wire for 15 amp circuits in a 12 volt system. #12 has too much voltage drop.

Would buy again
Used it for my solar panels in work very well.
