I have a vintage Denon POA-2200 amp which doesn’t have banana plug connectors. I saw there are DIY kits but cost several hundred dollars after professional installation. Instead, these flex pin banana plugs are the best and most cost effective. Easy to install and I was able to connect 14 AWG speaker cables without problems. Great product!

I bought these as a last-ditch effort before taking my vintage Diatone DS-77Z speakers to a repair shop, and I’m honestly shocked at how well they worked. My angled banana plugs wouldn’t make proper contact in the older JIS-style binding posts on the Diatones, even though they worked fine with my KEF LS50s. I assumed the speakers were failing. These flex-pin adapters, however, made full contact the moment I tightened the terminals and sound came alive instantly. Bass is deep and clean, mids are warm, and everything plays perfectly now. If you have older Japanese speakers that seem “dead” or inconsistent with banana plugs, try these before assuming anything is broken. They saved me time, money, and two great speakers. I previously purchased a similar product (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B218673M?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) and was underwhelmed. See my review of it for further details. The additional length of the pigtails (almost too long, for my taste) allowed plenty of room for the connections with no danger of shorting out and made connections easy. Unlike the previous adapters, the pigtails are insulated (color coded, too), as are the 'shoulders' of the binding posts where spade lugs (the application I used, in order to facilitate bi-wiring my speakers) are inserted. Not only does this alleviate the possibility of the connections shorting, the plastic insulation on the shoulder provided additional purchase area allowing the connections using spade lugs to be nice and tight. I highly recommend these to anyone requiring an adapter of this type to make connections to their components. The quality of their construction is very good, especially considering their modest price.

I like these for good options where older speaker or equipment may have the old style "clip" type connection and its the only option, because thats how they were made. Product made well and works.

Vintage (real stereo receiver) owner like me should be thrilled. I have a Pioneer SX-950 and speaker wire connection is a serious issue because the spring contacts are small, like about 12 awg. That left me with few options apart from tinning. The SX-950 is designed for 3 sets of speakers and these bad boys fit the spring terminals!!! Makes life much easier. I'm still tinning the wires but adjusting speaker wires is far less taxing.

Great quality. I will be buying another set to use with speakers. I use these with My Denon PAO-2200. I purchased this amp in 1987 while in Okinawa. The Denon gave new life to my Kef Q700. The sound so much better specially the bass. My Yamaha RS2700 can not match the Denon. Using Foso ZP3 amp and SMSl PL150 cd player.
