WoodRiver Caliper Depth Gauge Attachment

This appears to be identical to, if not exactly the same as Mitutyo's own Chinese-made 3" caliper depth base... except that it's half the price and arrives in a somewhat nicer box. It works just fine on both my Mitutoyo 500-196-30 AOS calipers, and my older, Swiss-made General dial calipers. They're even just slightly large for the storage space in the Mitutoyo case, just the same as Mitutoyo's own base.It's worth noting that these have a set screw with an angled shoulder that presses against the edge of the caliper shaft, forcing it against the opposite side of the slot in the base. My 500-196-30 AOS calipers, however, have squared corners, which makes me worry some about denting the edges with the set screw. I think these things were originally designed to be used with calipers like my Generals or some older (or higher end?) Mitutoyos that have angled corners along the shaft.

Identical to the Chinese made 75mm width depth gauge attachment that Mitutoyo sells under it's brand name as I have compared them side by side. Same paint appearance and dimensions but about half the price. This one comes in a plastic clam shell case while the Mitutoyo is just in a cardboard box. This fits the Mitutoyo caliper case cutout area for the depth gauge attachment the same as the Mitutoyo sold item, a very tight fit.

Honestly great quality, i was surprised how close it is to the actual mitutoyo, I bought it for work for loose tolerance depth measurement but, with my calipers it’s usually within .001” of what an actual depth mic reads, so overall It surpasses my expectations and am very happy. Idk if it says it in description but will not fit 12” and over calipersbut works great with 8” and below

Appears to be the exact same thing I bought with the Mitutoyo name on it a few years ago. Very high quality.

Great tool well constructed a little heavy

No problems. Fits in 8” mitutoyo box but is a very tight fit.
