This thing is a beast. Small, compact, powerful and great features. The clutch mechanism feels great, nice metal chuck, work light is handy and bright, and it has a hammer feature. And the 805 hammer version was less expensive than the 800 non hammer.

My husband literally only buys battery powered tools and they are always DeWALT brand. We take this drill with us on long distance road trips just incase. The charge speed and battery life on these things are amazing. Great drill power despite the battery. Gives you great ability and function to get your tires off with ease and on the go!

I was surprised that the hammer drill didn't need a handle to 'guide' the drill. The hammer drill is lightweight yet I was able to go through a 3inch paver and cement block without any issues. For small projects this will work great. I'm very happy with the purchase. The item came without a manual and any Dewalt paperwork. Dewalt drills come with 3yr limited and 1yr service warranty.

It does exactly what it's designed to do, no issues, strong tool and I got it at a great price..

What a great tool. I have jumped from 18 volt to 20 volt and what a difference. Smaller foot print with more power! I would tell everyone that when it comes to making the jump to upgrade you won't be disappointed. I expect to get many years of use out of this tool. Solidly made!

I'm very late to the Li-ion battery portable tool revolution, and am glad I landed on the DeWalt 20V product line. The drill is vastly superior to my very old Bosch rechargable drill, not even considering the upgrade to hammer function, which is welcome. I appreciate the knurled metal check with its full 1/2 inch capacity and strong grip. This looks to be a drill that will carry me for well over a decade.But hey, Amazon... why are you shipping it loose in a plain brown box, with just paper manual and belt clip? If you're sending a product in the manufacturer's own packaging, make that clear to the buyer. For the record, the drill is brand-new, had no signs of use, and is labeled made in Mexico. I ordered in July 2024, the drill was built in 2023.

I bought this for a small project that I would need to put in several concrete anchors for a fireplace surround. Regular drills just won't cut the mustard for drilling concrete.The drill, like most Dewalt stuff is well built and feels sturdy in your hand. It drills concrete anchors of up to about 3/8 of an inch with no problem but most decidedly needs a side handle attachment for the torque required for larger holes.Doing some research I found there is no side handle attachment that can be added, either OEM or aftermarket as there is no good place to attach one, even those that have the metal band that tightens down.Overall its a good unit for the average guy who needs that extra power to drill concrete or cc blocks but if you need to drill bigger holes or were going to use it all day for work I' say jump up to the bigger unit with the side handle. It costs a bunch more but would be worth it as a contractor.Battery life seems pretty good with my existing dewalt batteries but I found the 5ah battery had more power and lasted much longer than the standard 2ah battery. I have actually found myself using this in place of my drill driver for most applications as it just has more oomph.

This is a upgrade to the previous dewalt I'm used too the light is rotating that it runs so smooth lightweight yet powerful the batter life is a upgrade this is ease of use the build quality I'm loving it
