The Caledon Farms Sweet Potato Chews have become a regular staple in our dog’s treat drawer. Our Wheaten Terrier absolutely loves these. They’re one of the few treats he gets genuinely excited about every time. They are bigger than a typical treat, so they keep his attention without being gone in two seconds. I also really appreciate that they don’t smell and aren’t messy, which makes them easy to handle and store. Ingredient quality is a big reason we keep buying them. These chews are made from simple, natural sweet potato with no unnecessary fillers, artificial additives, or questionable ingredients. That gives me peace of mind knowing exactly what he’s eating. They also seem easy on his stomach, which hasn’t always been the case with other treats. The texture is firm enough to provide some chew time without being overly hard, and they’ve held up well as a consistent treat option rather than a once-in-a-while novelty. These are so healthy and super loved by all my dogs. I have some picky ones too and all sit and wait for them when I get out the bag. They smell great, but are really hard so if you have a dog with bad teeth like a senior, might be too hard. Have bought these 4 times and will keep them as a regular for my crew

Caledon Farms Value Pack Sweet Potato Chews 28oz/795G Our dog loves sweet potato treats. We had previously tried the Caledon Farms brand in a smaller size and I was glad to find this larger package. The treats are dehydrated and most of the pieces are fairly thick which I appreciate because it takes him awhile to finish one piece. Some of the pieces are very large and I had to use heavy duty kitchen shears to cut them smaller. Our pup has no trouble chewing them or digesting them, he just can’t inhale them as he does his other treats. This yields a more satisfying experience for him and ends up being less costly than lots of little treats. The fact that these are a single ingredient product and a quality vegetable that makes it a healthy snack is a win-win for all of us. The funny thing is that he will readily grab one if I hand it to him and eat it immediately. However, if he is being crated, he will eat his other treats immediately, but saves the sweet potato for when we let him out and then he really savors it! The only aspect that could be a downside for some people is that the treat sometimes leave an orange spot on the floor where he eats it. We will always have these available in our home.

Read reviews and was concerned about potentially getting some super hard chews but this chew was pretty okay! I could rip it in half but it wasn’t easy. It is a leathery like sweet potato type of chew. It gets a bit hydrated again with moisture. I held a piece and let my dog chew on it because I was afraid he might swallow the whole thing. But it was fine he chewed it slowly. My dog is small, 6lbs so I cut the pieces into small strips for him. It must taste good because he loves it. I also find the single ingredient to be healthy. The only issue is that sometimes it can get stuck in their teeth when it softens up as they chew. I had to brush my dogs teeth well after this and look inside his mouth for softened pieces that might’ve gotten stuck.

These are my dog’s favorite treats! If you have a dog with allergies these are great because they are one ingredient. We go through a bag every few weeks- My dog gets one each night as a special treat.

Our dogs love the potato chews!!!! A healthier option to milk bones. They are fresh. We have a Aussie and 2 Scotties so there is a need for sometime with a good chew factor. The Cameron chews are a great value and I wool for them when I order

These treats are hard so it takes awhile for my dogs to eat them! I have 3 small dogs but a larger dog may be able to eat them right away!

REVIEW EDIT: My original review below. VERY DISAPPOINTED that now this brand appears to be doing what the other brand is doing. Very inconsistent product now. Half the time my bags are full of tiny burnt SHARP chunks that I will not give my dog in case he swallows one of these smaller sharp pieces whole.. could puncture internally potentially. ORIGINAL REVIEW: These sweet potato chews are AWESOME! I have a 9 mo old Doberman puppy who goes absolutely crazy for these. This brand is the BEST one… I had been buying the Wholesome Pride brand, and when you can get a good full bag of the “big” slices, it’s good, but many times I would order the large slices, and the bag would be loaded with smaller dried bits. Also very expensive. This brand, Caledon Farms is more cost effective and better quality! I highly recommend!
