Raj and Simran are two young people who happen to be traveling through Europe at the same time. By coincidence, they meet, become good friends and of course, fall in love. They return home with stars in their eyes only to find out that Simran s father has already promised her hand in marriage to his best friend s son. Simran is forced to leave London and return to India with her family where she is thoroughly miserable until Raj comes to India to take back his  Dulhaniya. Does Raj succeed?Â...Â...Watch the movie. Yash Chopra has outdone himself with this movie. The music and songs will forever remain etched in one s memory, especially  Mehendi laga ke rakhna.. (a personal favorite) And of course, how can we forget the star jodi. This romantic drama is must have for all you Shahrukh and Kajol fans. Review: Good movie to watch fun and wow!! - I wil miss this movie from primetime... it is going to go away... I wish I Ould purchase it but it does not show anything like it... It is a very good old traditional India's actors and some of them are not here anymore. I enjoyed this so much I thought it would n3ever go away... Hope to see it again in the near future!!! maybe to buyout and keep it in my Primetime and then I do not worry again. Review: True love at it's finest - Whenever I think of a film that's considered to be a romantic classic, this movie always comes to mind! I watch DDLJ every now and again and I'm pleased to say that though I'm a slightly different person each time, my love and admiration only grows every time I see it. The main reason being that what irritates me about many other young love romantic movies (especially the 2000's American ones) is the immaturity consistency displayed between the main leads (especially the guys), but DDLJ never makes me feel that way. Though Raj loves his pranks and maybe child-like at times, he's always sincere, takes accountability for his actions, and never fails to apologize to Simran afterwards (even when they were strangers). Simran, on the other hand, is not your average rom-com girl who's desperate for love and willing to settle for less or even jaded and doesn't believe in love. She never backs down from what she sets out to do, has always allowed herself to dream, and though stubborn at times, is always willing to work things out. On a broader note, I can't get enough of the extremely honest acting, raw and vulnerable emotions, deep family and cultural sentiments, and the incredible chemistry not just between SRK and Kajol, but between all the main cast is simply phenomenal (personally adore the bond between Raj and his Pops!). I just LOVE the plethora of cute moments between the couple that seem so natural, the hilarious jokes in between the more serious moments, and the tear-jerking ending that never fails to remind me why this movie is ALWAYS worth the watch. Though it's been 30 years since this movie came out, the forever relatable themes of true love, sacrifice, and bravery beautifully portrayed in DDLJ are exactly why it's is considered by many, myself included, to be a timeless piece of art. All in all, If you're ever considering watching this movie, DO IT... because I promise, you won't regret it. P.S. - they just don't make them like Raj anymore!

That's what is so good about them
This is the first Bollywood/Hindi movie I saw. It bowled me over and I was hooked on Shah Rukh Khan's films from that day onward! His movies have everything I could ask for in romantic, heroic characters, comedy, drama, melodrama, musicals, action, the list goes on and on, yet they are very different from what is generally seen in American films. That's what is so good about them. Most of them contain fun and romantic music, singing, and dancing, but when it applies there are lovely melodies, or suspenseful battle tones, etc. Mr. Khan does most of his own stunts and had had many serious injuries, but he will not let that slow him or stop him from continuing to make movies. In fact, today (2014) at nearly 50 yrs. of age he now struts a 6-pack abs chest that looks like a perfectly uniform 10 abs despite recent serious injuries. He is not a handsome guy some say, but the cameras make him seem like a every woman's dream and many a man's inspiration to be like him. His movies are simple and uncomplicated in some ways and not up to Hollywood standard until the last few years but, they are DIFFERENT in ways so unique that one can hardly get enough of them (bearing in mind that people don't all have the same tastes in movies, genres, etc.). This particular story is a humorous romance, especially the way the guy and girl (main characters) meet and their experiences on a trip to Europe which they end up going together by mistake after mistake after mistake. It's young-love romantic, real life drama and circumstances (parts of which occurred in Shah Rukh Khan's own life and relationship with his wife) rivalry, beautiful scenery, delightful music and dancing, mischievous pranks, moments you feel like crying, brutal (a bit over-the-top) fighting that keeps you wondering if anybody will survive it, and finally, a very memorable almost signature end. I hope you give it a test run. Just throw your all of your emotions in a stew pot and this movie will stir them up for you into a one-of-a-kind sensation!

Excelente compra
