I've been using a cheap digital one (my wife's) when smoking / grilling / BBQing - and finally decided to buy my own, and I wanted a decent one - this was one that I'd seen many positive reviews and comments about. There is a reason for all the great reviews - this is an awesome thermometer. Imagine her shocked look with this was stuck to our range hood (it has magnets!) today. Open the probe, and it turns on, simple as that. It's size is good for hand use, the probe can be used at most angles for awkward temp readings. Close it, and it turns off (it also has an auto shutoff timer.) It's accurate out of the box, no need to calibrate mine. (nor would I try) It has a nice backlit screen, and quick reference temp chart on the back (for various meats.) Well built, and a great item. ThermoPro makes great stuff at a great price. I'll be upgrading my remote wireless meat thermometer to a ThermoPro (with probes) real soon. (currently using an el-cheapo wireless she bought me years ago - which works.... but it's not near the level of quality.) Solid piece of cooking gear!

This little appliance is an excellent help in the kitchen for me as a man , since I've become "the cook" in our "getting older" household. I reheat intentional left-overs at every opportunity- this give a fast and precise check on that. Most helpful is giving me a certainty that the magic 165 degrees has been reached for the frozen foods as often as possible cooked in the micro. The device has no faults or shortcomings - it's fast, easy, precise, convenient, inexpensive and the batteries last a very long time.

Works great. Seems to be accurate (I haven't died yet). Easy to clean, easy to use, easy to read. It has magnets, and a little list on the back so you don't forget meat temperatures.

This takes a few seconds to read the temperature, but only a few, like 2 or 3, as advertised. Sure there are faster thermometers with near instant reads, but they also cost several times more than this one. I've had this for a year or more and mostly use it when cooking on our pellet smoker grill. Sometimes I have to search the kitchen because my wife has borrowed it for indoor cooking. The unit turns on when the probe is swung out from the body, and turns off when it is returned to the closed position. The magnet on the back isn't too strong, but strong enough that it will stick to our oven or iron parts of the pellet smoker and won't fall off from a casual bump. The display has good contrast, even in sun, and is easy to read. The battery is easy to install and I haven't had to replace it yet. Great value, great purchase.

I have a few other products from the same brand and been using them for years with no issues so I’d expect the same from this. Very easy to use, user manual is very clear. Feels good quality, like it’s been put together well. I’ve tested it a few times with the other temperature gauges I have and it seems to be accurate. Easy to clean as well, if you give it a wipe straight after using, nothing sticks to it. Backlit display is not necessary I think but is a very nice touch and also auto turns off after 10 seconds so that’s a plus. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend.

Fonctionne aussi bien en degrés Celsius qu’en fahrenheit grace au bouton derrière. Marche très bien.

Does the job, i use in my patiserie baking so good for temp. chocolate, sugar etc.
