Okay, if anyone is wondering if this brand is legit? Rest assured they are. They offer all sorts of storage solutions at a very affordable price tag. I've been using Silicon Power MicroSD cards for years, ever since I got my first 128GB card from them over 10 years ago. I have since given that card to my best friend for his Nintendo Switch and it still runs amazing. So yes, I can attest to the quality of Silicon Power products. When I saw they were making NVMe drives? I had to pull the trigger, considering this is a 4TB model that I bought and usually those cost over 300 bucks to get even without a proper hest sink installed, so you're getting a good deal with this one. Set up was easy once I opened the bottom of my PS5, however, good luck trying to get the screw and lifter that came with to come loose. It ain't happening and trust me, I tried everything. I ended up getting an alternative screw and the compatible washers, said screw will be M3-0.50 x 10 which you can find at most hardware stores. Anyway, once I got it all set up, the drive tested itself and got a 5GB/second speed. Very impressive. It formatted as quick as Sonic the Hedgehog runs and I was off to the races. I immediately transferred all my PS5 installs to the drive and found out I had over 2.5TB worth of installs. Took a few hours to transfer but once I did? That's when the real test began. I have been using this pretty much as a daily driver since then and performance wise? This thing is slick. I have not noticed any additional lag when compared to the PS5's internal storage at all and along with that? Load times are just as fast as well. Overall, I'm pleased as punch with this product. I have a good feeling I'm going to be using this for a long time coming and if their MicroSD cards are anything to go on? I have nothing to worry about when it comes to this NVMe drive's durability and performance.

Any consoles manufacutred with under a tb of space should be criminal. This came thorugh for a great price and awesom performance when I needed it. Defintley saved me from making a few tough decisions juggling games from the library to the console. Really fast and fits snug in the expansion bay.

1st of all I avoided posting screenshots as people will judge by screenshots only and will not read the text which will mislead them. Ok. I have a very old mobo with a very slow m.2 slot. So testing it on that m.2 didn't have much point and also that mobo (X99 m-ws) was designed to shared bandwidth with ....well.... almost everything. Resulting with very slow read and write speeds on this m.2 SSD. speed was 700 write speed and 1200 read speed. Thus don't judge the product based on that as some of you might have similar issues. Here is what i recommend. I ordered PCIE to m.2 "converter" and generally PCIE is very fast if paired with latest PCIE gens. Sadly my mobo has PCIE 3 and also the converter i bought and most of the converters don't provide full speed. Thus I ended up with 3500mb/sec read speed and 3100 mb/sec write speed. So I can say that item works as intended and seems quite reliable. The brand itself SP was reliable back in the day when i was buying USB cables and adapters. So good brand and good product.

Been using it for a couple of days now. I am using it to load my ps4 games on my ps5 and it works brilliantly. I have had no issues so far. Brilliant and cost effective alternative to the offical WD or other SSD for PS5 out there.

Initially I was a bit apprehensive about this product as I've previously only ever used 'name' brand SSD's like WD, Samsung or Crucial. Even though I was buying this solely for PS5 storage, I was still a bit wary of buying a cheap drive from a company I'd never heard of, but decided to give it a try after reading several positive reviews (from both published articles from the likes of PC Gamer & Games Radar, and individual Amazon customer reviews just like this one). Item arrived overnight with Prime shipping, no problem. With the help of a Philips head #1, I was able to install this drive in mere seconds (literally took under two minutes; the hardest part was getting the PS5 side panel to snap back into place after installation). PS5 recognised it straight away & formatting took perhaps a minute at most. According to the PS5, data transfer speed out of the box is 6163 mb/s, and transferring ~400gb of games from the full PS5 drive took perhaps a minute or two at most. Too early to rate in terms of reliability or longevity, but I'm quite impressed with the great performance thus far. Despite the bargain-basement price tag, the Silicon Power drive seems quite a well-built & sturdy SSD, with a quality built-in heatsink (necessary for use in PS5) - very pleased so far with the drive; phenomenal value for money & I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.
