My wife, who is 5' tall, has always wanted a pulsating shower head. I found several of them on Amazon, but I needed it to match the bronze fixtures in the bathroom. The problem I was running into was, whatever I chose, she would not be able to reach it to adjust the spray. I was so glad that I ran across this shower arm extension. Not only does it match the rest of our bronze fixtures exactly, it extends the shower head down far enough that my wife can reach it to adjust the spray. Also, it took less than a minute to install it. I just wrapped a little bit of teflon tape around the threads of the pipe coming out of the wall and screwed this on. I then wrapped teflon tape on the other end and screwed on the new shower head. There were no leaks, and it looks great! The wife is happy also!

We began searching for a means for my wife to be able to reach the hand-held shower heads about 2 years ago. We found 2 with both ends adjustable at a big box store, both of which broke after a year. I wondered why someone didn't make just a simple, straight 6 to 9 inch male/female nipple. This can't be so uncommon a problem. We replaced the first with a slightly more robust adjustable model we found online. Then I found this great, straight extension. It works fine and has nothing to break. It is easier to install too, without messing with getting the angle correct. Wish I had found them first!

During a bathroom renovation, I discovered that the shower arm was raised to a new height which was 12" higher than I was used to. Since I use a hand-held shower head, I now had to climb onto the tub ledge to reach it! My plumber was having a hard time finding a solution so after searching online, I noticed this extender - a perfect solution - no muss, no fuss, very minimalist, quite substantial and amazingly easy to install! It's unobtrusive, matches the polished chrome shower arm perfectly and I can now reach my shower head with no difficulty. It's an excellent product and excellent solution. Thanks, Amazon!

I liked the product because it extended the shower out and down. My old hand held fit into the arm just below the shower head and the new one fits into the arm at the bottom of the handle, which made it 5 inches higher. Though the new extension is 6 inches long, because of the angle of the shower arm it really is only about 4.5 inches lower and the same extra distance from the wall.

I purchased a shower head and hand held with 108 inch stainless hose. All of those work very good. However the 3 way diverter, where you turn from shower head to hand held or both and where you hang the hand held, could not be reached by my wife. The shower arm that comes out of the wall was high and short. I should have realized when I installed everything. So I purchased this shower arm extension. Installation was easy and straight forward. Just took off what I put on, attached this extension, which made accessing the 3 way diverter much easier, as when I re-attached everything again, all was 6 inches lower and all works great.

This product is well designed. After installation, it looks like original equipment. The connecting threads are completely hidden.Very happy with the results and functionality. It solved a problem we had with the shower head a bit high and too close to the wall.We liked it so much that we purchased another for the second bathroom.

Excellent product. Just what we needed to complete a shower install, and could not find anything like it in any of our local hardware stores.

Wow! What a huge difference this made. The pressure is greater and temperature hotter when the water is not falling from so high. Extremely easy installation. Win, win, win!

When we had our bathroom renovated, it looked great but the shower was way too high, like 7 feet. I tried to find an extender at Lowe’s and Home Depot but no luck, so I ordered this 6” chrome extender on Amazon. It was delivered the next day, it was easy to install, it’s solid and it looks great! Best of all we can now reach the handheld shower. 🙂

Sturdy and really simple to install. I had trouble reaching the shower head which was so high, but no more! This shower arm extends six inches so you just have to make sure the shower stall is not so small that the shower head would then be close to the opposite wall or door. Otherwise, a terrific solution for lowering the height of a shower head.

This is a very hard-to-find item. I needed it to install a tall massage shower head. I had a new bathroom built in an old home. There was not enough room for the shower head to be aimed towards the back of the bathtub. The extension is very well made of polished chrome, almost a work of art. It arrived in a small box inside another box filled with bubble wrap. There is no chance of damage during shipping. The extension fit perfectly and allowed me to aim the shower head the way I wanted it. As a piece of information, I found out later from online tutorials that your standard shower arm can be unscrewed from the pipe behind the shower stall. That’s right, the shower arm in everyone’s shower is threaded. Even knowing this, I prefer the extension route. I did not want to take a chance on a leak behind the wall. I did not notice any decrease in water pressure that some people reported. My complements to High Sierra for a quality product.

Its a great extension in helping to lower the shower head, making it easier to reach.
