go to charcoal for me - heat is consistent - burn times on my MB1050 is about 6 to 8 hours depending on the temp setting.Lighting them using the "natural" style of fire lighters is super easy and they get to cooking temperature pretty fast.

This is great charcoal and the taste it gives to BBQ is superb, i've used on its own and with woodchips and it has been a success every time. Easy to light (I use a BBQ chimney starter) and burns well.My only gripe is that it can come in quite small pieces in the bag which falls through the grate.

Well I always thought charcoal is charcoal is charcoal until I tried restaurant grade . It’s a game changer on the kadai . I’d recommend to everyone . It burns hot and slow . I’m not going back to regular , bought in a garage charcoal now .
