I've had one of these bowls for my cat for years. It isn't 100% effective, but it's pretty good. I've seen it working when we occasionally get ants in her feeding area. It holds off ants long enough for me to kill them. The bowl design confuses them and they don't make it in unless the bowl is touching a wall.I just bought a large version for my dog. The large size is perfect for my 21 pound cocker spaniel. She eats outside where there are instant ants the minute food touches the ground. Being that she's a sloppy eater, there are always ants in her food and around her food. The soapy moat alternatives work, but I prefer a dry one.So far, so good. I've seen one ant make it to her food in a sea of swarming ants. Of coarse, leave it there long enough and the other ants will find their way in, but I only feed my dog twice a day, about an hour each time. The ant resistance is good enough to keep ants out at least that long. I haven't had a full on attack of the food bowl yet. It's working.

Anti ant it is not! We have sugar ants and have tried everything to get rid of them, so I bought this bowl with hopes that ants would stay out of our car food. With in an hour the bowl was covered in them.

Very good ant bowls; people need to understand that the bottom MUST be clean of webs, etc to keep the ants out. There is no info available with sale, so be advised, they do work effectively when clean.

I don’t know what kind of “Ants” it’s supposed to help avoid? But it didn’t help with the ants at out home. My dogs food was full of them! That was the reason I bought this specific product. It should say “Ants and Dog sharing bowl” . Smh

i would not have believed it! we had horrible ant problem and ants would fill our pets food bowls. These bowls have completely taken care of the problem. No more ants.. none at all!

No more ants in the leftover cat food, although it could also be the cold weather. Be careful not to place anything next to the bowl that would give ants a bridge!

Works great - no more ants in the food bowl. I highly recommend this item. Im only sorry I wasted my time and $ with the cheaper plastic ones where the tiny food bowls were surrounded with moats for water. They get gross in a day. This item worjs as it shoukd perfectly.

A tad pricey but ants amazingly can't figure this out. Genius.
