It will keep its stability. I've had mine for three years and it's holding up well.

This beach Straw cowboy hat largest fitting size : 23.5 inch head circumference

Q: How wide is the brim?

I think the brim is about 5 inches. It's a good hat for summer. 100% paper but durable. I've had this had for three years and it's still in good shape.

Q: Hat came in envelope and was extremely swished and out of shape. Any tips on how to get it back into shape?

The cowboy hat come with a Plastic support , if out of shape in the delivery , you can adjust the brim of cowboy hat by hand to a right shape, the top of hat can be adjust by Plastic support . keep it in air 3 days . if the hat can not back to the right shape anymore, you can make a Refund initiated .
