There's the algae and sludge in the pond builds up. I've had to change the filter. Actually, clean the velvet more often, but I'm working on the algae and sludge problem.I've become an expert at taking the motor apart and cleaning it. It's because my dogs shed and it gets into the filter mechanism I think it works perfectly well

The water was muddy from rain off. I added more oxygen, a few plants and changed the filter. Used two filter pads and in three days we could see the fish again.

I’m very happy with how easy this filter is to maintain and with how effective it is. The filter pads can be rinsed and re-used several times before they need to be replaced.

Nothing to dislike about these filters. They fit and are doing a good job.

The media could not be loaded. We’ve been happy with our aquagarden pond filter over the last three years but the water became murky recently. We replaced the old pad filters with these new filters and they are working great. The pond is very clear and the fish are happy. I’m glad I bought new filter pads.

I only needed the green foam insert. Wish theses were sold separately. The items did arrive as marketed and work well.
