Exceeded Expectations: Fresh, Fast, and Fantastic!
I recently had the pleasure of purchasing 3 lbs of fresh Chayote from Tropical Importers, and I must say, the entire experience was nothing short of fantastic. The delivery speed was impressive, with the package making its way from the West Coast to my East Coast doorstep in record time. This was my first time ordering, and the freshness of the Chayote upon arrival has already made me a believer in the quality Tropical Importers promises. The packaging deserves a special mention. Each Chayote was individually sleeved, ensuring that they arrived in pristine condition. I was delighted to find that not only were they firm and without blemishes, but they also boasted a vibrant green color and emitted a wonderful aroma that filled my kitchen. It was clear from the get-go that these Chayotes were handpicked for their quality. Although I ordered 3 lbs, I received a little over that, with five beautiful chayotes making their way into my kitchen.I am eagerly looking forward to using them in my morning smoothie tomorrow. Based on their fresh appearance and smell, I am confident they will add a fantastic flavor. It's rare to find a seller that exceeds expectations in both product quality and service, but Tropical Importers has done just that.I am extremely happy with my purchase and highly recommend this seller to anyone looking to buy fresh, high-quality produce. The attention to detail, from the fast shipping to the impeccable packaging and product quality, makes it clear why Tropical Importers is a cut above the rest. I will definitely be returning for more purchases in the future. If you're on the fence about where to buy your fresh produce, look no further than Tropical Importers!

Very good product to sprout for gardeners
This is a good product. For those wanting to plant choyote/merliton for their own garden, order a few extra and order no later than early April as it takes a few weeks in the sprouting process and the the plants need to take off in May. If you receive your Choyote/Merliton in a box unsprouted like mine, just take off the individual wrappers on the choyote, leave them in the box on the paper, close the box lid and put in a dark space. The Merliton will surely sprout in about 2 weeks like mine did. Some may take another week or so. Check on them periodically. No need to spray with water as the merliton provides its own water and food to itself. If any of the merliton have a spot that arises which can damage the choyote seed, cut the seed out gently and place in a plastic ziplock with a lightly damp paper towel and seal it until it sprouts. This sellers product is very hardy. I recommend ordering a few more if you are planting. Only for the purpose of loss of your own mistakes. I tried a technique unfamiliar and lost 2. Best of luck to my fellow gardeners. Great product and I will order again.

Mixed reviews
I had no idea how to use. Heard it's slimy when peeled. I didn't get to it soon enough and they sprouted, so I never put them in my shake.

Good Quality fast shipping
About 6 Chayote came in the box all very fresh and delicately wrapped.I ate 2 of them and left the rest on a window sill with medium light for about 2 weeks until the shoots that sprouted got a 4"-6" long then transferred the strongest to the ground and gave the rest away. One Chayote will make a huge vine with tons of fruit so be careful not to plant anywhere you think will be hard to remove down the road.I put a T post in the ground that looks like a giant TV antenna for the vines to grow on. They are growing great so far and starting to climb the structure I made very rapidly.
