FreeTec Fuel Injector Remover and Installation Tool Compatible for BMW BMW N20 N55 Engines

What a hot mess. Full disclosure...I bought this as a warehouse special for under $20 so I didn’t expect much. I was using it to remove a failed injector on my 2015 640i GC with the 315hp version of the N55. (<40k miles). The item looks wonderful. So two problems... the anchor bolts are too long and bottom out too soon so I had to add a few nuts for spacers....no big deal for <$20. The next issue was the coupling nut thread didn’t screw on the injector well at all. I could barely get about one full thread turn to engage but luckily it was enough to pull the bad injector out. After this I ordered a tap and chased the threads and now it works ok...so for <$20 + $7 for a tap I am more upset at the car than the tool. On one hand you look at what you get for the money and it makes you wonder how they can make money at this price, but then you think...how much more could it cost to make the threads actually screw on to the injector...it’s the only thing this is supposed to do. In the end...you get what you pay for.

Broke apart at the attachment to the injector and parts to it fell all over before I could even pull 1 injector.

The mounting bolts didn’t fit the threads on the head.

Not for N55 did not work!Tool broke when trying to use it.
