freaking amazing!
I swear to god everything this woman write is just perfection! Yet another gripping and captivating story!Halen is quite the bad arse. She’s strong, vulnerable, sexy and a tad terrifying.Kallum is definitely a sexy god. Haha with looks that could kill and an obsession that could easily enable him to kill as well. He’s my second favorite book boyfriend. (Grayson will always be my first. lol) he’s strong, protective, and everything you could ask for.I can’t wait to see where this goes. The story is phenomenal and the picture that Trisha paints is better than any museum exhibit you can find. I’ll be dreaming about the marsh for a while. Hopefully just the spicy scenes! If you’re looking for your next favorite read this is it right here!

This book and series is a must read!
This will be the 3rd time I’ve “read” this book. Once actually reading and twice on audible. The new audible is a true duet narration and is amazing. Just like this book. It will always live rent free in my head. This book and series is nothing but twists and turns throughout. If you love psychological thrillers with mind games, then this series will be your new love. Tricia Wolfe is an outstanding writer and knows how to manipulate the words to work and evoke emotion not just from the characters in her books, but from the reader. Freaking phenomenal. Everything you read is not what it seems. Halen is intelligent, strong, but a bit haunted. She’s a profiler and has it down to an art. Or does she?Kallum is intelligent, charismatic, and a tad obsessed! He’s also just always wanting to push and help Halen every opportunity he can, but why? He is Everything we love in a MMC. The tension is strong in this book, in all aspects, even the spice! 😉If you are a dark romance reader and a lover of shows like criminal minds, then this is definitely going to be your favorite read. Possibly series. So run and buy it. You won’t have regrets. It’s one I will always return to rereading.

wrecked my brain
I will first admit - I am just not smart enough to truly understand this book. This story is like 80% philosophy/history/ big words I have never heard that I had to look up. It was so hard to immerse myself because I couldn’t understand so much and I had to keep stoping to research stuff. The relationship(?) built well(ish)? Idk - this is not a HEA, it stops at a cliffhanger, there isn’t a release date for the next book and the major plot twist was totally glossed over? And for why? I just don’t understand. The actual murder is confusing, especially with all the philosophy talk. The romance is confusing because of the weird twist that is glossed over. The smut is decent (2 scenes). And the extra characters developing more at the end of the book? Like you have an entire book to explore your world, your characters, your plot, so you wait until the very end to start opening it all up?The three is because, at the end, I was addicted enough to the main characters and the straightforward communication style that I still looked everything up and was upset that there wasn’t any more story to read. It’s an engaging story, just hard.

So many twists
This is just a work of art. I love the dark terror of it all. The confusion. The all consuming corruption of the soul. Her inner fighting and struggle within herself before hitting her breaking point and then coming back from the edge just barely. Its just masterful writing.

Fantastic First Book
Trisha Wolfe has officially become my favorite dark romance author. Lovely Bad Things is a must read for the dark romance lovers that also enjoyed Hannibal and Silence of the Lambs. It also felt like a thriller-esque dark romance which was something I loved about it. I can’t wait to start book 2, and I’m glad I bought all 3 at once! What would you do if you were brought to a crime scene that made you realize you needed the one person you never hoped to see again? Halen is forced to work with a man she despises. Their dynamic was interesting to read along with this totally bizarre case. There was a plot twist in here that I hope gets more explanation in the next books because woah was that a turn of events! Locke was also kind of interesting, and the dual POV in this book was awesome.🌶️Spice- wise: there wasn’t all that much. It was more plot driven. I could see maybe the next books getting more spicy possibly. If you want a great plot with a little spice thrown in, this is for you. The chapters that contained spicy scenes were 10, 13, and 14.
