Chile Piquin Ristra

Got a Chile Ristra for my Vos Eclectus female we rescued from a bad situation. She doesn’t play w toys but loves Chili Peppers 🌶 so I thought to combine the two as a foraging adventure! Came today! It’s big and beautiful! Was so excited to give it to her! ❤️🦜. Well it was a success....Fourth one so far! (And ordered another for when she eats this one) This occupies her so she’s not so interested in plucking... looks like it’s working as I see dense grey under fluffies and some purple belly feathers popping up! The extra Vitamin A doesn’t hurt either! I saved one for myself too bc it's so beautiful and hung it in my kitchen. I will continue to buy these for my parrot for years to come as they’re helping her heal. ❤️

I grew up in the southwest where Chile ristras are pretty common, especially ones with the larger red chiles. Being on the west coast now, I missed having a ristra in my home. I chose the smaller Chile piquín ristra because it would fit better in my kitchen.It arrived well-packaged, with only one broken Chile that I was able to push back into place. There are a few gaps here and there but not enough to really notice. The colors are vibrant and the whole thing is really well done.

This arrived at my parents' house with no indication of who had sent it, causing quite a sensation 😂 I send them these to decorate but they always eat them.

When I received this item it was perfect. It’s just beautiful and fresh. I have purchased these other places and they have never been this nice. I would highly recommend.

Small and not for display- Only to eat and perishable- Not a good description- no refunds - But otherwise Nice.

20 years ago I bought a ristra when I was on a trip to New Mexico and got it home on the plane. I had to mail order this, and I am very pleased with it. The chiles are soft, it is well made, packed well, and arrived reasonably quickly. I would buy again from this company.

If you're buying this for decoration, be forwarned that you'll need a "hanging bracket" because the thing is wide and a nail just won't do it. Also, expect a big of "stench" while it's drying out. We've had it hanging for about a month and it's still potent.
